USC reverses reopening plans amid coronavirus surge – Los Angeles Times

 

Amid the alarming surge in coronavirus spread, USC announced it will no longer bring all undergraduates back to campus for the fall semester and will move to mainly online classes, reversing an earlier decision to welcome students back for a hybrid model.

David Smith of Arlington is among those concerned about the politicization of mask-wearing. “I’m 80 years old, so I’m in the range that it can really strike me bad. My son is in a rest home,” he said“I don’t want him dying, I don’t want him getting sick and I don’t want people with the virus close to him because he’s stuck there.”

Apple wants your iPhone to replace your passport and driver’s license

The next step in Apple’s goal of making the iPhone the sole thing anyone has to carry, continues with the device being able to securely replace passports, driver’s licenses, and other physical forms of identification.
