Robert O’Brien didn’t provide any details, also claiming Beijing had ‘the most massive program’ to influence US politics

China has taken the most active role among countries seeking to interfere in the US election and has the biggest program to influence domestic politics, the US national security adviser, Robert O’Brien, said on Friday, without providing any details.

“We know the Chinese have taken the most active role,” O’Brien told reporters at a briefing.

Congresswoman blocked from touring mail facility by Postal Service police

Two U.S. Postal Inspection Service officers block Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., from entering the Miami Processing and Distribution Center in the early morning hours of Sept. 4.

“There are no children, defense secrets or sick patients behind those doors,” Wasserman Schultz said. “I’m perfectly capable of observing the work being done at a safe social distance, which I did without a lengthy delay or incident earlier this year. Denying Congress access to the facilities, is denying the vital public oversight of our mail system.”

Summer BLM protests were ‘overwhelmingly’ peaceful: analysis | The Sacramento Bee

A report analyzing the flash point of Black Lives Matter protests across the U.S. this summer found more than 90 percent of the demonstrations against racial injustice were nonviolent.

An analysis by the nonprofit Armed Conflict Location and Event Data Project identified more than 7,750 demonstrations across 2,400 cities between May 26 — the day after the death of George Floyd — and Aug. 22.

Fewer than 220 of those events were marked by violence or destructive activity and were “largely confined to specific blocks,” according to the report.

No Need for Tech #poetry #nature

Be glad it’s a rooster and not a peacock. Had a neighbor who had a peacock – great guard bird and louddddd!

penned in moon dust

it’s certain every morning

what then can one do

plan on early mornings

cock a doodle doo

nature in its cycle

nothing digital

man-made has its limits

the rooster has but few

***

our neighbor recently adopted a rooster. no way to stop his early morning song so we might as well join with a yawn…

Watch: NYPD Escorts Pro-Trump Protesters Into Car Before It Plows Through a BLM March in Times Square

The vehicle’s license plate matches that of another car frequently shared on social media by Hakim Gibson, a pro-NYPD activist who currently runs a “law enforcement support page.” The Ford Taurus appears to be a former police car purchased from a police auction. According to Facebook posts, Gibson recently outfitted the car with a push bar and spotlight, joking online that other drivers had often mistaken him for a police officer.

The Gothamist also reports several reporters said they saw the driver of the car waving what appeared to be a handgun at the crowd, “causing further chaos” and provoking protesters to duck for cover at a nearby subway station.

“This person was pointing it at protesters after coming to a stop, and then drove away,” a 30-year-old street medic told the local news site.
