Deutsche Bank’s biggest scandals

The revelations gleaned from the leaked FinCEN files suggest the bank’s top management knew about suspicious transactions amounting to over $1 trillion dollars.

The FinCEN Files investigation has revealed that top Deutsche Bank executives knew the bank could be used for money laundering. The news is the latest in a long line of scandals from Germany’s largest bank.

Instead, it appears TikTok Global will very much still be a Chinese company.

 It’s grafty. Oracle beat out Microsoft for ByteDance’s favor as it scrambled to put together the least disruptive deal that would persuade Trump to sign off. Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison is a major Trump supporter, has hosted high-dollar campaign fundraisers, and reportedly helped put the whole hydroxychloroquine idea in the president’s head.

Trump said that a deal should include a “very substantial” finder’s fee for the U.S. Treasury. That would be unusual for any negotiation between two private companies, but now it might be worse.

With coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases crossing 30 million globally, the appeal of herd immunity as an end to the pandemic becomes increasingly persuasive. Yet, some countries, including India, have recently re-confirmed re-infection using genome sequencing to demonstrate that the second infection was caused by genetically distinct Sars-CoV-2 virus, which has made depending on “a nice big epidemic” – in the words of UK pandemic advisor Graham Medley – to end the public health emergency not just facetious but very stupid.

Kentucky is up to 61,106 coronavirus cases, with 1,002 new cases announced Saturday — one of the highest daily totals yet.

Gov. Andy Beshear also reported seven new deaths caused by the virus.

“Today’s report shows that when we let our guard down, this virus truly spreads,” Beshear said in a press release. “This is everywhere, and we must keep our guard up.”

Of the new cases, 145 were in children age 18 and under, including 29 cases in kids age 5 and under.
