GOP Senate candidate Lauren Witzke defends ‘patriotic masculinity’ of Proud Boys

Proud Boys founder: ““Maybe the reason I’m sexist is because women are dumb. No, I’m just kidding, ladies. But you do tend to not thrive in certain areas — like writing.”
—Gavin McInnes, The Gavin McInnes Show, June 28, 2017”
“Muslims have a problem with inbreeding. They tend to marry their first cousins…and that is a major problem here because when you have mentally damaged inbreds — which not all Muslims are, but a disproportionate number are — and you have a hate book called the Koran…you end up with a perfect recipe for mass murder.” — Gavin McInnes, Get Off My Lawn, April 24, 2018
“Why don’t we take back Bethlehem? Why don’t we take back Northern Iraq? Why don’t we start our own Crusades? That’s what the Crusades were. They weren’t just someone picking on Muslims for no reason — they were a reaction to Muslim tyranny. We finally fought back.”

Russian group disguised as right-wing news site to target US voters – The Jerusalem Post

The Russian group accused of meddling in the 2016 US election has posed as an independent news outlet to target right-wing social media users ahead of this year’s vote, two people familiar with an FBI probe into the activity told Reuters.

The latest operation centered around a pseudo media organization called the Newsroom for American and European Based Citizens (NAEBC), which was run by people associated with the St. Petersburg-based Internet Research Agency, the sources said.

CIA, NSA opposed release of unverified Russia intelligence to Republicans – The Jerusalem Post

Ratcliffe, a former Texas congressman who the Senate narrowly confirmed in May as director of national intelligence, provided the material despite noting that it was unverified by US intelligence agencies and “may reflect exaggeration or fabrication.”
The material contradicted a 2017 US intelligence report and the bipartisan findings of a Senate Intelligence Committee investigation that Russia used hacking and other means in an operation designed to sway the 2016 vote to Trump. Russia denies election interference.
The Senate Intelligence Committee reviewed the material and discarded it as unreliable, said a congressional source.
“When you look at the sourcing it tells you it’s not something to be taken seriously,” said the source, speaking on condition of anonymity.
Another source said that US agencies believed the material reflected Russians “talking to themselves about things, and what they think those things are, and what those things mean.” A more significant meaning should not be drawn, the source said.
