Manguito Vilela was elected Mayor in Goiânia, the tenth largest city in Brazil. The mayor was admitted to the hospital back in October due to COVID-19 and has since remained in the hospital, but his condition worsened when he had to be intubated just before the first round election on November 15. Most of last month, the mayor was in an induced coma due to the severity of his coronavirus infection.

A news website G1 released a statement after his victory,

Korean Study: Indoor SARS-CoV-2 Transmission from 21 Feet Away in Just 5 Minutes

If you just want the results: one person (Case B) infected two other people (case A and C) from a distance away of 6.5 meters (~21 feet) and 4.8m (~15 feet). Case B and case A overlapped for just five minutes at quite a distance away. These people were well beyond the current 6 feet / 2 meter guidelines of CDC and much further than the current 3 feet / one meter distance advocated by the WHO. And they still transmitted the virus. As Tufekci goes on to explain, the way they figured this out was quite clever: they contact traced, used CCTV footage from the restaurant, recreated the airflow in the space, and verified the transmission chain with genome sequencing. 35 551 new cases take India s Covid 19 count above 95 lakh mark-ANI – BW Businessworld

New Delhi [India], December 3 (ANI): India’s Covid-19 tally crossed the 95-lakh mark on Thursday with 35,551 new infections in the last 24 hours, according to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW).
As many as 95,34,965 cases of novel coronavirus have been recorded in the country so far, including 4,22,943 active cases and 89,73,373 recoveries. With 526 new deaths, the cumulative toll mounted to 1,38,648.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the total number of tests for Covid-19 conducted in the country reached 14,35,57,647, of these, 11,11,698 Covid-19 tests were done yesterday.

Coronavirus update San Antonio, Dec. 3: Mayor reports 760 new COVID-19 cases, 1 new virus-related death

San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg updated the community about the local response to COVID-19 in the daily briefing Thursday night.

Nirenberg reported 83,885 total COVID-19 cases and 1,372 total deaths in Bexar County, an increase of 760 new cases as of Thursday. One new death was reported today.

The 7-day moving average of cases is 795.

City officials also reported that 593 patients are hospitalized, 198 are in the intensive care unit and 104 are on ventilators.
