Killed over a cellphone – Belladonna’s Flashlight

You never know what you’re going to find when the camera goes off!

Joining a global trend, thousands of videos of couples dancing to popular songs are uploaded daily on TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and many other platforms. It’s creating an instant global connection among people from all corners of the world.

At first glance, the couples look happy and in love!

And then, all of a sudden, the couple that you thought were happy and living a carefree life suffered when the cameras were turned off. In a shocking turn of events, one of them has been tragically murdered, disrupting the seemingly perfect image.

It’s a stark reminder that what we see on social media is often a curated facade, underscoring the crucial need for critical evaluation of the content we consume. These individuals are not , but they are and .

For well over a year, I have watched case after case of ” love birds” making videos of themselves dancing and kissing each other, and then tragedy strikes. And their families are left to tell the story about how abusive the boyfriend was and how they knew he would end up killing her.

Storytime

Alyssa was a mom to two children, ages 6 and 8. The single mom met a man who, for some reason, swept her off her feet. He said and did all the right things that made her feel soft and vulnerable. On the outside looking in, he seemed to have his self together.

He was good to her daughters; they even called him dad!

The four of them would often make videos of themselves dancing and enjoying outings. Alyssa would livestream daily and tell the viewers how in love they were and how she found a man that other women craved ( I think not). While recording, they would kiss, dance, and interact with their viewers.

And then it happened! After an argument over his cell phone, he shot her. All she wanted was to see who he was texting and who was texting him; she feared that he was cheating, and she was right.

Later, it was discovered that he was a convicted felon and spent time in prison for armed robbery and sexual assault. Sadly, the one person who knew who he really was decided to give him a chance in hopes of changing him. Instead, she lost her life as he shot and killed her.

She thought she could change him, she risked her life and her children’s life to take on an unsuccessful project. Alyssa thought that she could be the one person that could change someone for the better and she was wrong.

Stay safe, and choose a partner that doesn’t need changing!

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!
