Meteori, Grčka – Meteora, Greece

Today, of the 24 monasteries, only six are active and are inhabited by small monastic communities. They take care of frescoes, icons and valuable collections of illuminated manuscripts that date back to the time of the founding of the monastery. Their ancient beauty can still be seen in candle-lit churches and in modest cells carved into the rocks, but progress has reached that place as well. Steep steps have been carved, so the risky system of reels and ropes is no longer needed, and two monasteries, Rusanu and Agios Stefanos, are inhabited by nuns, although this grossly violates the rule set by Patriarch Atanasija. but progress has reached that place as well.

Myrela

The Face of Terror

If you want to know how traumatizing it is to live in a terrorized zone speak to the terrorized, listen to their stories. People will do as they please as long as there is no accountability. The question we need to ask ourselves is: Are we stoking the fire or are we putting a damper on it?

Distracted

We should not allow ourselves to be distracted from the things that matter in our lives. What matters to you and me is health, wisdom, understanding, loyalty, security of food and home, loving ourselves and all those whose lives touches ours. Everything else is just the fluff of life. We can exhibit our wares but we can’t take them with us at the end our short sojourn. Don’t be distracted for the end is but a breath away.

The government finally connects the line from Trump’s campaign to Russian intelligence – The Washington Post

“During the 2016 U.S. presidential election campaign, Kilimnik provided the Russian Intelligence Services with sensitive information on polling and campaign strategy. Additionally, Kilimnik sought to promote the narrative that Ukraine, not Russia, had interfered in the 2016 U.S. presidential election,” the statement read. “Kilimnik has also sought to assist designated former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych. At Yanukovych’s direction, Kilimnik sought to institute a plan that would return Yanukovych to power in Ukraine,” it read. Yanukovych was a member of the pro-Russian party for which Manafort had worked, the Party of Regions. That one sentence, though, appears to finally complete the long-speculated line from Trump’s campaign to Russian intelligence. It goes like this, according to the aggregated information compiled by various parts of the government: Trump hires Manafort to run his campaign. Manafort then orders Gates, his deputy, to provide polling and strategy information to Kilimnik, their longtime colleague and, according to the Senate committee, a Russian intelligence officer. Kilimnik then shares that information with Russian intelligence agents. It’s important

Indoor gatherings, backyard BBQs driving COVID-19 transmission in B.C. Interior | Globalnews.ca

Indoor gatherings and backyard barbeques are driving transmission of COVID-19 in B.C.’s Interior, the regional health authority’s top doctor said on Thursday.

Dr. Albert de Villiers, Interior Health’s chief medical health officer, called the source of the spread locally “sporadic.”

“It’s kind of all over the place. We’ve had some with people not keeping to the rules, in smaller clusters in household or backyard barbeques. We have not seen outbreaks in restaurants, we haven’t seen big workplace outbreaks either. It’s really sporadic and all over the place,” de Villiers said.
