Street art, art in public space, is not only easy to understand for everyone, regardless of whether they are young or old, whether they belong to the educated or the less well educated, street art is there for everyone and accessible at all times. One of the essence of street art is its transience; just as quickly as the works of art are created, they often disappear again, they are painted over, removed or sometimes even built up. New works are being created in other places, which is why street art is always exciting.

Street Art, die Kunst im öffentlichen Raum, ist nicht nur für jeden gut verständlich, egal ob er jung oder alt ist, ob er zu den Gebildeten oder den weniger gut Ausgebildeten gehört, Street Art ist für jeden da und jederzeit zugänglich. Ein Wesen von Streetart ist seine Vergänglichkeit, ebenso rasch, wie die Kunstwerke entstehen, verschwinden sie oft wieder, sie werden übermalt, entfernt oder manchmal auch zugebaut. An anderen Orten entstehen neue Werke, deshalb bleibt Street Art immer spannend.

Chester W. Nimitz was born on February 24, 1885 – and today would have been his 136th birthday. The National Museum of the Pacific War is located in Fredericksburg. Texas because Nimitz grew up here and he was a major figure in the U.S. victory over Japan in WWII.

Nimitz reached the pinnacle of naval leadership when he was promoted to the 5-star rank of Fleet Admiral in late 1944. As the Commander in Chief, Pacific Ocean Area, heledmore than two million men and women, 5,000 ships and 20,000 planes in the Pacific Theater.
