Vancouver’s mayor has apologized to a retired B.C. Supreme Court judge who was detained and handcuffed by police in English Bay on Friday. Selwyn Romilly, the first Black judge elevated to B.C.’s superior court, was held by police who were searching for an assault suspect they said matched his description.  Romilly, who is 81, said police were looking for a “dark-skinned man in his 40s or 50s.” “I thought things had changed and they haven’t,” Romilly told Global News of the incident. “I hate to say racial profiling, but I can’t help but think if it was an 81-year-old white man, regardless of the description, they wouldn’t have put him in handcuffs for ‘officer safety.’”

U.S. schools should continue to use masks, latest CDC guidance says – National | Globalnews.ca

Schools in the United States should continue to use masks for the 2020-2021 school year, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said on Saturday. The CDC in its latest guidance said all kindergarten through grade 12 schools “should implement and layer prevention strategies and should prioritize universal and correct use of masks and physical distancing.” The CDC said masks should be worn at all times by all people in school facilities and buses, while maintaining a six foot distance between teachers and students. Earlier this month U.S. regulators authorized Pfizer and BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine for use in children as young as 12 years old.

(نم مبكرا المدرسة تبدأ فى الغد) جملة يقولها الأباء والأمهات كنصيحة للأطفال بحسن نية , لا يعرفون أنها قد تدفع الطفل لعدم النوم طوال الليل مع احتمال إصابته بالأرق فى ليال تالية . خوف الطفل من المدرسة هو نوع من الاضطراب الذى ينشط من القلق ويتطور لسلوكيات يقوم بها وأعراض جسدية ونفسية , يظهر الخوف من المدرسة بصورة كبيرة فى العام الدراسى الأول للطفل وتستمر إمكانية الإصابة به حتى نهاية سنوات المراهقة .
