Lonely travel of life

Bio-Blogger

Life is a Gem
Never is a blame
Learn to bloom
Turn around time
Day&night are same

Akin to life&death
So, deeply breath
From heart beneath
Efforts are worth
Gain the strength

Rise up and move on
Learn to walk alone
The path you choosen
Become your own boon
Focus on your reason
And make a decision

No one is for you
Nothing is your's
Even by a chance,
Though in bad times
Never think in worse
But feel it's verse

Just play your role
Be true to your will
It's a life's travel
Pay the bill of toll
In the journey of hell
To the heaven's shell

Truth is only God
Wake up from the bed
Out from dream land
As your wishes demand
And thoughts command
Live like a legend
Until your travel end

Natural Protectors: Kenyan Women Step Up to Save a Forest – Yale E360

“I’m really happy to be out of the forest — I’m also happy that women are taking part in decision-making,” said Lonolngenje, a 30-year-old mother of four, who lives just outside the forest and runs a small food kiosk with two other Samburu women. She still collects firewood in the forest twice a week, but she only uses wood from fallen trees. “I no longer cut trees down.” Lonolngenje’s newfound stewardship responsibilities are part of a broad shift of changing gender roles in northern Kenya and other parts of sub-Saharan Africa. As traditional livelihoods for men, such as livestock herding, have eroded, women have been forced to earn money for the first time. Facing worsening droughts, Samburu men leave for months searching for pasture or for new jobs, oftentimes in cities. That leaves women not only to manage the household but also to earn enough money to live in their partner’s absence.  In some cases, the women’s opportunities are being aided by the growing willingness of governments to let local populations manage their natural resources — a strategy borne out by studies showing they are better custodians. This has been particularly true in

182 unmarked graves discovered near residential school in B.C.’s Interior, First Nation says | CBC News

A First Nation in B.C.’s South Interior says it has discovered 182 unmarked grave sites near the location of a former residential school.

The community of ?Aq’am, a member of the Ktunaxa Nation located near the city of Cranbrook, B.C., used ground-penetrating radar to search a site close to the former St. Eugene’s Mission School, the Lower Kootenay Band announced Wednesday.

According to the band, the findings indicated the graves were shallow, about a metre deep.

“You can never fully prepare for something like this,” said Chief Jason Louie of the Lower Kootenay Band, which is also a member of the Ktunaxa Nation.

The finding adds to the growing tally of unmarked burial sites discovered near residential schools across Canada in the past month, including 215 in Kamloops and 751 in Saskatchewan.

St. Eugene’s Mission School was operated by the Catholic Church from 1912 until the early 1970s. The building has since been converted into a resort and casino, with an adjacent golf course.

Gun deaths surge in Iowa ahead of loosened handgun restrictions | TheHill (Me: collective self-delusion about public safety and guns will kill more innocent people)

Under the new law, Iowans do not have to get a gun permit or undergo safety training before carrying a gun into public places, including grocery stores and malls. They will still be required to pass a federal background check if they are purchasing from gun retailers, but not if they purchase from private sellers.

“We will never be able to outlaw or prevent every single bad actor from getting a gun, but what we can do is ensure law-abiding citizens have full access to their constitutional rights while keeping Iowans safe,” Reynolds said of the law in April.

The group Iowa Gun Owners, which pressured Reynolds to sign the bill, called it “a monumental advancement in Second Amendment freedom for law abiding Iowans who are sick of being tracked, traced, and registered like criminals, just to carry a gun.”

Walmart launching its own low-cost insulin for diabetes patients

Walmart will launch its own brand of insulin, which the retailing giant says will “revolutionize the access and affordability” of diabetes treatments. In a statement Tuesday, Walmart said it will offer analog insulin vials and FlexPens for administering doses through its ReliOn brand. The retailer claims its insulin options will save customers between 58% to 75% compared to branded products. “We know many people with diabetes struggle to manage the financial burden of this condition, and we are focused on helping by providing affordable solutions,” said Dr. Cheryl Pegus, executive vice president, Walmart Health & Wellness, in a statement. The ReliOn products will be available this week at Walmart pharmacies and launch in Sam’s Club pharmacies next month.

Strogi rezervat prirode Tsingi de Bemaraha Madagaskar, Tsingy de Bemaraha Strict Nature Reserve, Madagascar

Myrela
