Empoderamento feminino

Vivaldi translation: Female empowerment, among other things, has the function of empowering women so that they can manage their own lives. Empowerment has a close connection with knowledge, that is, it makes this woman aware of her rights, and learn to fight for it. An empowered woman, she does not delegate to the other (partner / partner) the obligation of that person to be responsible for her happiness, on the contrary, the woman assumes this role, asserts this individual power.
In many relationships, women “believe” that men are responsible for this role linked to “the obligation of happiness”. It is not. Culturally, many changes have been observed, one of which is to see this woman much stronger, being able to manage her own life, say “fighting for her own happiness”, without necessarily depending on a partner to reach the peak of her desires. “

Pensamentos.me/VEM comigo!

How can gut microbes reverse brain aging?

Beyond The Lines

No intelligent life on this earth is possible without the brain. Similarly the brain of a human is probably the most important organ of its body.

Studies and research are constantly being conducted to figure out ways to enhance the functioning and longevity of the brain. According to a study led by APC Microbiome Ireland (APC) SFI Research Centre at the University College Cork (UCC), gut microbes may possess the potential to reverse brain ageing. The study is published in the journal Nature Aging and is titled “Microbiota from young mice counteracts selective age-associated behavioural deficits”.

Prof John F. Cryan, Vice President for Research & Innovation, University College Cork as well as the Principal Investigator at APC Microbiome Ireland and the lead author of the study said, “Previous research published by the APC and other groups internationally has shown that the gut microbiome plays a key role in ageing and…

♫ Paperback Writer ♫

Filosofa's Word

Yesterday, Roger sent me a link to a Beatles’ song, Rain, that I only vaguely recalled.  When I told him that I barely remembered that one and that perhaps it didn’t play well over here, he told me that it was the “B” side to this one, Paperback Writer, which I definitely recall!  Roger ended his comment with, “One of my favourite Beatles’ songs”, but I wasn’t sure if he meant Paperback Writer or Rain!  For tonight, since Roger is a published author, I am going to assume he meant this one, but if by chance I’m wrong, I’ll play Rain one day soon!

Paperback Writer was largely written by Paul McCartney (though the song is credited to McCartney-Lennon), who based the lyrics on a challenge made to him by his Aunt Lil. McCartney recalled …

Judge allows San Antonio, Bexar County to issue mask mandate for schools, public buildings

Local officials on Tuesday imposed mask requirements, quarantine rules and other measures at area schools to prevent the spread of COVID-19 shortly after a judge temporarily overturned Gov. Greg Abbott’s emergency order preventing such mandates.

At a hearing Tuesday afternoon, state District Judge Antonia “Toni” Arteaga issued a temporary restraining order blocking Abbott’s order, clearing the way for the San Antonio Metropolitan Health District to require students and employees in public and private schools to wear masks and to quarantines in cases where unvaccinated students were exposed to people found to have COVID-19.

The city and county asked for the ruling in a lawsuit against the governor filed that morning, citing a rise in coronavirus cases and a stall in vaccinations against it. The coronavirus delta variant has resulted in the fastest rise in hospitalizations throughout the state since the pandemic began last year, officials said.
