feel free, and just be…

Develop. Inspire. Transform.

the tree grows taller, and
sometimes I feel smaller
than life as it manifests before me

moments like these
come and go, we know,
and yet, as they arise,
we continually strive…

to know
the answers, yet,
will we remember to abide…

instead
of fighting
against the current
we feel inside, let it subside

and know,

this energy
will carry us
toward
our final destination, a ride
for the ages

are we not all sages?

I know not, yet
won’t let the conversation
drop, because

it’s not
about dropping,
or stopping, more learning

to love

more than your heart
has ever known
the capacity for…becoming

like the flowers,
and the trees, did
you know they speak of thee…

every day, watching
as we run around
limiting what we see,
within this dream

yet, we speak, and, they see
instead, maybe,
feel free, and just be…

Pacquiao Retires: End of an Era

Color My World

Finally. After years of ignoring the clamor for him to retire, after a spectacular 26-year career where he brought home world titles in a record 8 weight classes, after a surprise loss to little-known Yordenis Ugas last August, our very own boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao has finally decided to hang up his gloves.

In a glorious run starting in 1995, Pacquiao picked up his first world crown – the WBC flyweight title – in 1998 at a tender age of 19, when he knocked out heavy favorite and defending champ Chachai Sasakul of Thailand. He would lose the title after 2 bouts to another Thai fighter, Medgoen Singsurat, as he struggled to maintain his growing weight.

In 2001, Pacquiao went to the USA to try his luck there, ending up in the Wildcard Gym in Los Angeles where he met Freddie Roach. Roach would be his father-figure, his mentor-trainer, his…

Birds from Walden Woodpecker

Words from Walden

Woodpeckers , even without being seen they are one of the most identifiable birds from the sounds they make.

The woodpecker loves the forested areas for hollowing out trees.

The Woodpecker is another beautiful, rare and unique bird.

These birds do not get headaches. Nature has designed the biology of a woodpecker so that the back of their tongue wraps around their brain, thus preventing concussions.

Seen throughout the year at Walden pond the woodpecker loves to peck-wood.

This bird comes in many different colors and patterns. Some have red heads and a red stripe that goes down the back of their necks while other just have red on the head.

Some have a cascading black and white wavy pattern while others have black spots over a white coat.

They all have a long hard beak which allows for constant penetration of dead wood.

There are many types that can…

Linkezine
