Annodate strisce blu

le pagine dei nostri libri

Klaustrofobia. Fondale "Spaghetti" - groviglio di strisce di carta. Luce bianco/azzurra.

Il viottolo tortuoso

si infrange contro il mare,

increspando il costone

di tufo bruno che, intorpidito,

sonnecchia incardinato

fra il verde degli ulivi

che si affacciano infastiditi

su quella angusta

ed indolenzita baia rossa.

Il cielo, infuriato,

si incupisce e si colora

annodando spesse strisce blu

che svolazzano arruffate

e cangianti ad ogni

suo collerico umore.

Poi, travolgendomi

il cielo mi sbarra il passo

e si sdraia, con dispetto,

mollemente di traverso.

Guardiano sorpreso

a bloccare il tempo

per attutire un ruvido sobbalzo

ed annullare il sussurro

bisbigliato da

questo triste silenzio.

Oportunidade

Pensamentos.me/VEM comigo!

Don’t Get Boxed In 📦

From Behind the Pen

We have repeatedly heard the business cliché, Think Outside the Box, which means to think differently, unconventionally, or from a new perspective. This phrase often refers to novel or creative thinking. But humor me for a minute here. Instead of merely thinking outside the box, why not try to just step out of the box completely, and then go on a trek to discover the novelty and creativity of your personal uniqueness.

Don’t limit yourself, or allow someone else to limit you. Don’t get boxed in or boxed up! 📦 You are not a package but a person!

Free My Words

yaskhan

I
let my
Quill move
Under your hands
Charged and electrified moving through words
My mind writes into my burned out fingers
Carving the page
Freeing it
From being
Burnt..
Let's
Perfect
Aurora
Of spring's blossoms
Embrace the cadence of stardust's glow where
Solitary syllables come undone
Heart releases
Thunder of
Freedom's
Peace
Pull
Up a
Chair and sit
Next to my soul
Let me show you how poetry has touched
Shaped me and made me who I am
Come, fill my quill
Spill some ink
Free my
Words.

Makin’ some changes

Dreams of Digging

I was very excited today to see a ute (pick-up truck, if you’re American) with some words including ‘Heritage’ printed on the side, because I guessed they would be archaeologists. Went to look up their logo and they were! Felt like spotting adventurers off to raid tombs or lost arks.

After I published my last post, I thought of a punny title for it. It should have been named “Get your Genes during Black Friday Sale”. Har har. But it was already ten hours after blogging when this occurred to me so I left it.

To my lovely readers: in general, do you view it as cheating to go back and edit blog posts?

In various professions, going back to change timestamped notes can land people in legal hot…

Officials urge vigilance as southwest B.C. prepares for more storm activity | CBC News

The Thompson-Nicola Regional District, located northeast of Vancouver, has ordered the immediate evacuation of 56 properties in the Petit Creek and Spius Creek area due to a flooding threat to the Spius Creek bridge. A tweet from the district says RCMP are actively carrying out tactical evacuations for properties affected.

An evacuation order was issued in the early hours of Sunday in southern B.C., as the latest atmospheric river drenches the province, worsening the impacts of widespread floods and mudslides.

How settler violence is fuelling West Bank tension | Palestinian territories | The Guardian

Baraa Hamamda, 24, ran home to find her three-year-old son, Mohammed, lying in a small pool of blood and apparently lifeless on the bare floor where she had left him asleep. “I thought that’s it, he’s dead,” she says. “He won’t come back.” Mohammed wasn’t dead, though he wouldn’t regain consciousness for more than 11 hours, having been struck on the head by a stone thrown through a window by an Israeli settler, one of dozens who had invaded the isolated village of Al Mufakara, in the West Bank’s rocky, arid south Hebron hills. At about 1.30pm, settlers from the two outposts, Havat Maon and Avigayil – illegal even under Israeli law – which the Palestinian village sits uneasily between, advanced on the flock of a Palestinian shepherd from neighbouring Rakiz, throwing stones and stabbing sheep, killing six of them. More than a dozen of Al Mufakara’s 120 residents retaliated with stones in an attempt to repel the settlers. But the settlers, several armed, rapidly entered the village and, as women barricaded themselves and their children in their homes, left a trail of smashed windows, an overturned car, shattered windscreens, punctured water tanks, slashed tyres, vandalised solar panels – and six injured Palestinians, including Mohammed.
