Thursday Theories – Christmas

Lolsys Library

What a better time then to write about some theories about Christmas!

I suspect, after this weekend, things will be a little more full on. As such, I want to try and get the heavy topics out of the way, lol

Was Jesus born on December the 25th?

The earliest Christians did not celebrate his birth. Dec. 25 is not the date mentioned in the Bible as the day of Jesus’s birth; the Bible is actually silent on the day or the time of year.

By most accounts, the birth was first thought — in around 200 A.D. — to have taken place on Jan. 6. Why? It may have been the result of “a calculation based on an assumed date of crucifixion of April 6 coupled with the ancient belief that prophets died on the same day as their conception,” according to religionfacts.com.

Beautiful

Inhale Peace; Exhale Love. Joy will Follow! - RUELHA

The song ‘Beautiful’ (2002) by Christina Aguilera inspired me to write this poem. Like all my music-inspired poems, I suggest playing the song{which I have embedded below for your convenience} as you read; it truly elevates the experience!

Beautiful – poem by Ruelha

I don't want to go out into the world
Inside my blanket, I want to lay curled
And hide myself
In loneliness to dwell

I fear nobody will accept me
When I look into the mirror, all I see
Is disappointment and shame
Mixed with tears and pain

I'd rather stay away from people
That is the best principle
I don't want to dodge more daggers
I'm already injured; and my walk is staggered

Yes, that used to be me But, that's no longer my reality Today, I don't mind you staring Because I'm no longer comparing I don't care about the models on Ftv I'll continue…
