Santijago Kalatrava – Santiago Calatrava Valls

Myrela

Nearly Done: 4th Draft! But Here’s Chapter 8, Rough Draft II. B. 2/4, Phase II

Context, Thought, and Learning: ShiraDest Offers Project Do Better

This post continues the rough draft of  Chapter 8 of my non-fiction WiP, Baby Floors, now Do Better.   This chapter will begin the early years of mapping out a path to get there for Phase II, with a potential new adulthood rite of passage.

The overall objective remains that of putting a floor on poverty so that each and every baby born can have a safe childhood.

Outlines for chapter 8 will attempt to match with each section, at the bottom of each post.

Once again, by way of disclaimer, the overall goal is now to explain why we need both equ. + justice, & why in 4 phases.  This chapter is part of showing what Phases I-IV could look like as potential roadmap for a fully inclusive society for all of us.  This vision is laid out in the hope that All HumanKind  will eventually have…

Good People Doing Good Things — Dr. Daniel Ivankovich

Filosofa's Word

I first wrote and published this post in February 2018 and I think Dr. Ivankovich deserves a redux, for he is truly one of the ‘good people’ in this world.

Every Wednesday, I go in search of good people who are giving of themselves to others.  They are not hard to find, but so often go unnoticed because they are busy taking care of business and do not have time to toot their own horns as others may do.

It seems that we only hear about the bad things in Chicago:  the crime, drugs, gangs and violence.  But there are some really good people doing their best to help people survive and thrive.  Meet Dr. Daniel Ivankovich.

IvankovichIn 2010 after seeing so many in the Chicago area who were left without the ability to pay for medical care turned away, Dr. Ivankovich decided it was time to do something positive. …

In the Atlantic Forest, the lowland tapir is at risk of extinction — Palm Oil Detectives — Barbara Crane Navarro

Close up of a South American tapir walking in grass, Pantanal, Brazil. Lowland tapir populations in the Atlantic Forest in South America are at risk of almost complete disappearance, scientists have estimated. Weighing up to 250 kg, the animal can adapt to most habitats in South America—but its populations continue to decline across its range. […]
