Browser-in-the-Browser Attack Can Trick Even Savvy Users – Slashdot

Hundreds of thousands of sites use the OAuth protocol to let visitors login using their existing accounts with companies like Google, Facebook, or Apple. Instead of having to create an account on the new site, visitors can use an account that they already have — and the magic of OAuth does the rest. The Browser-in-the-Browser (BitB) technique capitalizes on this scheme. Instead of opening a genuine second browser window that’s connected to the site facilitating the login or payment, BitB uses a series of HTML and cascading style sheets (CSS) tricks to convincingly spoof the second window. The URL that appears there can show a valid address, complete with a padlock and HTTPS prefix. The layout and behavior of the window appear identical to the real thing. EXCLUSIVE: Four Corners Interview: In Ukraine HQ With Zelensky – What Was Said – 💥Peace & Truth

Moments later, Ms Vereshchuk walked in, talking urgently on her phone. Hanging up, she told us she was responding to problems at the Russian-occupied Chernobyl nuclear plant around 100 kilometres north of Kyiv.

While Mr Zelenskyy has been commanding international headlines and praise, less is known about the Deputy Prime Minister.

As some MPs within the Ukrainian government are taking up arms for the first time after Russia’s invasion of the country, Ms Vereshchuk had served as an officer in the Ukrainian army for five years.

The 42-year-old has also practised karate, hand-to-hand combat and Thai boxing.

She displays the same defiance that Mr Zelenskyy has come to embody.

“They will not succeed,” she said. “Kyiv will not be taken by the Russians. Otherwise, we will all die here, together with the Russians.”

Anonymous Takes Anti-Putin Battle To Russian People With Printer Attack To Disrupt Kremlin’s Propaganda

The details of the latest attack against Russia were shared by Anonymous on the micro-blogging site Twitter. “We have been printing anti-propaganda and tor installation instructions to printers all over for 2 hours, and printed 100,000+ copies so far. 15 people working on this op as we speak,” the tweet read.

International Business Times had the opportunity to talk to one of the hacktivists and they confirmed the hack. They also explained that the operation included PDFs printed on the hacked printers with a message telling Russians that its president, Kremlin and Russian media have lied to them.

Florida lawmakers order Disney to alter diversity training – Orlando Sentinel

So I just assume Disney will happily play the role of culture-war stooge and adjust their employee training to suit the fancies of GOP legislators as long as the financial favors kept coming.

Still, I decided to inquire, sending a note to Disney CEO Bob Chapek and Orlando’s Walt Disney World Resort President Jeff Vahle. Neither responded.

But assuming Disney is still trying to decide how to save face, allow me to offer a suggestion:

Challenge the “Stop WOKE” law in court. The bill will almost certainly be ruled unconstitutional — just like the Legislature’s previous attempts to squelch free speech were. But instead of letting the ACLU or some other civil-rights group lead the legal war, Disney should do so itself.

Legislators should not interfere with a student or employee’s right to receive an inclusive education just because…

Pro-Trump group sent armed members door-to-door in Colorado to “intimidate” voters: Lawsuit | Salon.com

The lawsuit, which is backed by the state chapter of the NAACP, the League of Women Voters and Mi Familia Vota, alleges that the “voter intimidation” campaign violates the Voting Rights Act of 1965 and the Ku Klux Klan Act of 1871, a post-Civil War law aimed at preventing white vigilantes from terrorizing Black people to stop them from voting.

The lawsuit cites the “County & Local Organizing Playbook” used by the group, which instructs members to “undertake citizen audit activities to either refute or confirm serious allegations of election malfeasance” in order to “support future legal action.” The group, some of whose members are armed, has been going door-to-door in El Paso, Mesa and Weld counties in Colorado, using public voter lists to identify areas where they believe ballots were fraudulently cast, the Colorado Times Recorder reported last year. The report prompted an alert from Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold, who warned voters of unofficial canvassing efforts and urged residents to report harassment and threats to local law enforcement or the Justice Department.
