Ein Dienstagslächeln / … A Tuesday smile – Stella, oh, Stella

… This film shows us, how – among others – fruits really are being made to grow on trees. 😉
We learn that also troll youths are bored and want to do things differently from the generation before them. As we all know, that can lead to tensions. 😉
But, does not everything go much better, when we show more understanding for each other, when we meet others halfways? And maybe, it is not really so vitally important, that everything is being done as it always has been done?

A short student film we made during our final year at University of Dundee DJCAD (2019), Gosia Chlopek, Lukas Gecas and others.

Vielleicht kann dieser Film uns Denkanstösse für unser eigenes Verhalten geben. Ich wünsche uns allen eine angenehme Woche! ❤

Former President Gerald Ford’s daughter endorses Kamala Harris – UPI.com

The daughter of former Republican President Gerald Ford announced Monday she is endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris for president in the 2024 election despite their policy disagreements.

Susan Ford Bales, a registered Republican, said her decision was guided by similarities between U.S. divisiveness in 1974 over war, the oil crisis and inflation, when her father assumed the presidency, and now.

Israel still preventing humanitarian missions to north Gaza, Unrwa says

The head of the UN agency for Palestinian refugees (Unrwa) says Israel is continuing to prevent humanitarian missions from reaching northern Gaza with critical supplies, including food and medicine.

“Hospitals have been hit and are left without power while injured people are left without care,” Philippe Lazzarini wrote on X.

He also said Unrwa’s remaining shelters were so overcrowded that displaced people were “forced to live in the toilets”, and cited reports that people trying to flee were being killed.

The Israeli military has been intensifying a weeks-long offensive in parts of northern Gaza against what it said were Hamas fighters who had regrouped there. On Monday residents and medics said Israeli forces were besieging hospitals and shelters for displaced people…

History or productivity? Jamaica erupts over national holiday proposal · Global Voices

Feature image created using Canva Pro elements.

The term “Emancipendence” gradually came into use some years back, after August 1 (Emancipation Day) was reinstated as a national holiday in Jamaica in 1997. The date is close to that of the island’s Independence Day, August 6. The expression suggests a merging of the two holidays. Building on this concept, the influential Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica (PSOJ), in a highly controversial press release, suggested that the two holidays be incorporated into one four-day holiday weekend…
