And I love that for YOU! – Belladonna’s Flashlight

Thanksgiving is a time for personal food choices. Whether you prefer raisins in your potato salad or any other dish, it’s your plate and your call.

I love that you love those raisins, I love that for you!

Your unique food choices are what make you, you. And I’m here to celebrate that diversity with you!

If you wash your greens in the bathtub, go right ahead. I love that for you; it’s a unique twist that always brings a smile to my face. Just don’t invite me over to eat because that’s grossBut hey, I love that for you.

Daily writing prompt
Do you or your family make any special dishes for the holidays?

I don’t know if I make any special dishes, but I make a lot of dishes, and we eat and celebrate all day. Our food is a special part of the day, but definitely not the most important. Being with my family is priceless, and I love every minute of it.

What’s funny is that everything we cook on Thanksgiving is, for the most part, your typical dish, but the desserts are my favorite!

Desserts I’m Making This Year

Every year, I switch it up and make two different desserts from the previous year. This year, I’ll make my sweet potato pie with homemade whipped cream and dark, decadent chocolate cake served with vanilla bean ice cream.

Your turn!

I would love for you to share your go-to dish!

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

Cervical cancer deaths are plummeting among young U.S. women

Rates of cervical cancer have decreased since a vaccine for human papillomavirus, or HPV, was introduced in 2006 (SN: 10/6/08). Now, a new study is the first to show a steep decline in cervical cancer deaths among the first women who were eligible for that vaccine in the United States.

“We had a hypothesis that since it’s been almost 16 years, that maybe we might be starting to see [the] initial impact of HPV vaccination on cervical cancer deaths,” says Ashish Deshmukh, an epidemiologist at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. “And that’s exactly what we observed.”

Quarta, 27 — *O vento esparramou as nuvens na delicadeza do instante. – O Outro Lado

quote extraído do Coletivo Ao vento, todo dia — da prosa de Mariana Gouveia

Já era o quarto dia quando te vi brincando com os meninos da rua de cima. Chapeando as pipas enquanto eles soltavam a linha.
