उलझनें / Challenges – Kaushal Kishore

🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀

Sometimes I lose to myself,

sometimes I conquer myself,

despite facing many challenges,

I simply laugh them off,

thus turning the potential

wrinkles into dimples…

Opinion: California’s new rules allow COVID-positive kids in school. Here’s the problem – Los Angeles Times

The state Public Health Department’s announcement was a troubling missed opportunity because the department has been otherwise exemplary, including in its communications around high-filtration masks earlier in the epidemic. Even before the guidance, I noticed very few people wearing masks, including while noticeably sick and symptomatic, during my travels on both airplanes and buses in the state. A policy statement imploring people to actually test and mask, with the incentive of isolating for less time if you do so, could help reduce transmission.

Public health policies that don’t match what people are willing to do are unlikely to be useful, so trying to maximize compliance while minimizing harms is a reasonable middle ground in our new world of weighing uncertain COVID risks. But without clear communication to tell people how to be safe and why, these efforts will fail.

Saudi Arabia says Israel must offer path to Palestinian state – Los Angeles Times

Saudi Arabia’s top diplomat says the oil-rich kingdom will not normalize relations with Israel or contribute to Gaza’s reconstruction without there being a credible pathway to a Palestinian state — a nonstarter for Israel’s government.

Prince Faisal bin Farhan’s remarks in an interview with CNN that was broadcast late Sunday were some of the most direct yet from Saudi officials.

No Outside Interference Allowed! | From Behind the Pen

“Do not allow outside interference to cloud your judgment, dull your spirit or take away your joy, no matter what day it is!” -Kym

You know, there are some days when you get up, feeling happy, ready to embrace a glorious day with a big smile on your face, and look forward to a day of newness, peace, and productivity. Then, all of a sudden, out of left field, a curve ball comes speeding in your direction, ready to knock you upside your head and wipe that smile of happiness clean off of your jovial spirit. Ahhh, I don’t think so. Not today and tomorrow ain’t lookin’ too good either!

It’s not the time to roll over and play dead. Nope! Fight back by securing your line of happiness, and let those outside interferences self-implode. Besides, you have better things to do.

Nutella Espresso Rollups | snapshotsincursive

What’s Cooking in Gail’s Kitchen? Country Casual Cravings: Nutella Espresso Rollups! French toast makes every day a wonderful day, doesn’t it? Now you can take a few basic ingredients, follow a super simple recipe, and create a treat that tastes like a chocolate-filled donut. Each sugar coated flute is perfect as a finger food for weekend breakfast, lazy day brunch, afternoon snack, or late night dessert. Ambitious cooks may choose to make more than one variation. I’m thinking flavored cream cheese and strawberry filling, for one. Peanut Butter Banana is another. Meat lovers may decide to use sausage links, then drizzle them with maple syrup. You’re thinking holiday buffet. I can see it in your eyes.
