‘I felt pains all over my body’: Argentina battles dengue outbreak as politicians pass up vaccine opportunity | Dengue fever | The Guardian (Me: Hard right disease stupidity exposes thousands to Break-Bone Fever’s – Dengue – harsh effects)

The president’s statements on the climate crisis reinforce the suspicion of vaccine denialism on the part of the Milei government. Milei has said that Argentina would not continue with the Paris Agreement and that global heating was a cyclical issue that would eventually pass.

Milei’s administration has made no secret of its contempt for environmental matters, and the president called the climate crisis a ‘“socialist lie”, and reduced the health ministry’s budget by 40%.

Saturday Fit Tip – Belladonna’s Flashlight

Before you mess this glorious Saturday up, I need you to do one thing!

Get up and do one impossible thing, or what you thought was athletically impossible. You’ll surprise yourself with what you can do if you change the way you think and choose to use different words. If you tell yourself that doing a particular exercise is hard or damn near impossible, then guess what?

Yep, you guessed it, you’ll never be able to do it!

Mind over matter. If you think you can, then you will.

Happy Saturday, my BEAUTIFUL FAM!

You could have chosen any book to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

♫ Amie ♫ | Filosofa’s Word

This one charted at #27 in the U.S. and in Canada … and nowhere else, as best I can find out.  I went with the live version tonight … the studio version has a bit better sound quality, but … I was in the mood to ‘see’ as well as ‘hear’.  And thank you, Keith, for your three excellent suggestions!  You’ve helped me out this week!!!  Got any more?  😊

7 billion human beings – Silent Songs of Sonsnow

“I am one of the 7 billion human beings alive today. We each have a responsibility to think about humanity and the good of the world because it affects our own future. We weren’t born on this planet at this time to create problems but to bring about some benefit.”

His Holiness the great 14th Dalai Lama

Swing Dancing at the 1939 New York World’s Fair ~ Vintage Everyday

There is a remarkable bit of film, taken some time in 1939 or 1940, from the New York World’s Fair. It is silent, in color and features numerous couples, black and white but mostly all female, swing dancing and fox trotting to the music of Glen Gray and the Casa Loma Orchestra. It comes from a wonderful series of amateur films taken by a fellow named Medicus that documents nearly all aspects of the Fair.
