जिसकी खूबसूरती दुनिया तो देख सके…

लेकिन खुद वह सुंदर मुमताज नहीं, 

जिसकी याद में बनवाया गया था इसे…

Admired by the world, a wonder to all…

Yet Mumtaz, for whom it stands so bright,

Could never see this symbol of love’s light…

The Taj Mahal, an ivory-white marble mausoleum, stands on the southern bank of the Yamuna River in Agra, India. Commissioned in 1632 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, it was built to enshrine the tomb of his beloved queen, Mumtaz Mahal.
