Black Dragon
by Dawn Pisturino
My muse is a black dragon
Blotting out the sun
As he flies through the air,
Searching for his errant slave.
He scorches me with his fiery breath,
Whips me into submission with his forked tail,
Scratches me with his thick black scales,
Claws me with long, sharp nails
Used to massacre poor villagers
And pull the trees from the earth itself. . .
