22-Second Promo Video | Dawn Pisturino’s Blog

Sunday was a gloomy, rainy day, so I experimented with making some promo videos for my new Amazon release, Haiku for the Midnight Hour. I saw an ad on YouTube for videoexpress.ai and decided to check it out. The basic service costs $49.00, and that’s what I got, a basic video-making service. More features cost more money. I was very pleased with the images the AI feature generated. It gave me exactly what I wanted. Since I already paid for Canva Pro, I uploaded the images there and created this 22-second video with some spooky audio. Check it out!

Haiku for the Midnight Hour (Kindle version) is still listed (as of this writing) as in Japanese Poetry & Haiku on the Amazon Hot New Releases page and on the Amazon New Releases page, which is very exciting. I’m still learning how Amazon works, as it is very overwhelming. Things change quickly as new books get published and sold. But I’m pleased that my book has done as well as it has since it defies traditional haiku. It achieved Amazon New Release in Japanese Poetry & Haiku, Haiku & Japanese Poetry, and 90-Minute Teen & Young Adult Short Reads.

सच्चा प्यार/ True Love  – Kaushal Kishore

🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀

Those who truly love with a heart so true,

Don’t envy others, nor provoke envy anew…

They wait for their love, even if it’s in pain,

But won’t do anything for just selfish gain…

.

P.S.

The image depicts the Chatak, also known as the Jacobin Cuckoo or Pied Cuckoo, a bird that symbolises the onset of the monsoon in India. According to Indian mythology, the Chatak is said to thirst only for rainwater. The poet Kalidasa used it in his work “Meghadoota” as a metaphor for intense longing, as the bird is thought to quench its thirst solely with raindrops. Chatak still continues be used in literary works.

Gantz tells Netanyahu ‘flashy presentations’ won’t return northerners home — Naharnet

Former Israeli war cabinet minister Benny Gantz on Wednesday lashed out at Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over his handling of the confrontation with Hezbollah.

“Another day when the residents of the north feel first hand the complete failure that this government has brought upon us,” Gantz said in a post on X, referring to dozens of rockets fired by Hezbollah at northern Israel earlier in the day.

“Prime minister, the residents of the north will not return to their homes thanks to flashy presentations and campaigns, but through brave actions. It’s time to put an end to hesitation and decide to bring them home,” Gantz added.

“It’s time for you to put down the keys. You are not competent,” Gantz went on to say, addressing Netanyahu.
