If you don’t look after yourself, then who will?
Is it me, or does it seem like so many people are needy? Like the type of needy where they are associating themselves with people that they so-called couldn’t stand because they were thought to be childish and clingy.
But they would rather shrink themselves and be with them then be alone.
The other day, a friend of mine sent me a picture of a group of people who used to talk so badly about each other, but now, all of a sudden, they’re friends. But I noticed that they are all with each other because they have nothing better going on.
So, instead of elevating themselves, they have chosen to stay where they are because that place is comfortable and familiar, not to mention it’s also the bottom of the barrel.
These women have chosen to go to restaurants and each other’s homes to twerk rather than act like they have sense.
As I looked at the pictures and videos that were sent to me, I couldn’t help but think that most of these women are mothers and wives. Not to be confused with mothers that put their kid’s best interests first or wives that are worth a damn.
It’s so obvious that they formed a friendship because no one decent wants to hang out the way they do and conduct themselves in public as they do.
So they allowed this needy nature to take over and sink to the lowest of low together!
They are genuinely choosing not to look after themselves, and because of how foolish they look, I’m motivated more than ever to continue to look after myself.
How I’m Looking After Me Today
I will be moving my recent Spelman graduate into her dorm today so she can complete her dual degree in Environmental Engineering. Then, my husband and I will enjoy a nice steak dinner by candlelight as we sip on a glass of red wine.
On Saturday, my husband, daughter, and I will journey to my son’s college to watch his preseason football practice.
How are y’all looking after yourself this weekend?
Oh, and in case you don’t know what twerking is, here ya go. I hate this damn dance so much!
You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown visited his hometown on Wednesday to celebrate the All-American Flag Act with Richland County veteran and labor leaders gathered at the AMVETS Post 26.
The bill, which Brown first introduced in 2011, requires the federal government to only buy American flags completely produced and manufactured in the United States.
“If it’s a government flag, post office, military base, military funeral — it should be 100% American-made,” the senator said.

It’s funny … and not in a ha ha sort of way … that for months now, the media has focused on every stutter and stumble President Biden made. I mean every single one. They haven’t missed a beat following after Joe Biden, watching and listening with magnified lenses for the slightest faux pas, then reporting on it ad nauseam. But Donald Trump gets a mostly free pass, though his daily speech and behaviour are far more chaotic and demented than anything President Biden has ever said or done. All we heard until the day President Biden announced he was stepping down was that “he’s too old …” Yet Donald Trump is nearly as old and far less coherent! Want to tell me again that there is no bias in the media?
Don’t believe me, or think I’m exaggerating? Well, let’s see what our friend Robert Reich has to say on the topic …
WHY ISN’T THE MEDIA REPORTING ON TRUMP’S INCREASING DEMENTIA?
Today’s news conference should at least spur a serious inquiry
08 August 2024
Today, Trump held an hourlong news conference in the main room at Mar-a-Lago. He insulted Kamala Harris’s intelligence, lied about the state of the U.S. economy, and claimed the country would be in mortal danger if he didn’t win the election.
In other words, the usual Trump torrent of lies and insults.
But what got my attention was his description of his departure from the White House as a “peaceful” transfer of power, his insistence that the group that mounted the assault on the Capitol was relatively small, and his boast that attendance at his January 6 rally preceding the assault was larger than the crowd Martin Luther King Jr. drew on the national mall for his “I have a Dream” speech.
“If you look at Martin Luther King, when he did his speech, his great speech, and you look at ours — same real estate, same everything, same number of people, if not — we had more.”
Friends, these are not the statements of a sane person.
Trump is showing growing signs of dementia.
In April, he spoke to a rally in Schnecksville, Pennsylvania, about the famed Civil War battle at Gettysburg. Trump told the audience:
“Gettysburg, what an unbelievable battle that was. It was so much, and so interesting, and so vicious and horrible, and so beautiful in so many different ways— it represented such a big portion of the success of this country.”
Trump continued, “Gettysburg, wow — I go to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, to look and to watch.”
During the last months of the Republican primaries, he repeatedly claimed that his opponent Nikki Haley was in charge of Capitol security on January 6. (Haley never had any connection to Capitol security.)
He has repeatedly confused who he ran against in the past, such as stating, “With Obama, we won an election that everyone said couldn’t be won.” (Trump defeated Hillary Clinton in 2016.)
Last September, Trump suggested that the way to prevent wildfires in California’s forest lands is to keep them damp. Here are his words:
“They say that there’s so much water up north that I want to have the overflow areas go into your forests and dampen your forests, because if you dampen your forests you’re not gonna have these forest fires that are burning at levels that nobody’s ever seen.”
In October, Trump warned his supporters that Biden will lead America into World War Two.
Can I be frank? It appears that Trump — with a family history of dementia — is increasingly unhinged.
He has claimed that Hezbollah, the Iranian-backed militant group, is “very smart.” That whales are being killed by windmills. That he won all 50 states in 2020. That he defeated Barack Obama in 2016. That the outgoing chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff should be executed.
The most telling evidence of Trump’s growing dementia is found in his paranoid thirst for revenge, on which he is centering his entire presidential campaign.
On November 11, he pledged to a crowd of supporters in Claremont, New Hampshire, that:
“We will root out the communists, Marxists, fascists and the radical left thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country, that lie and steal and cheat on elections and will do anything possible — they’ll do anything, whether legally or illegally, to destroy America and to destroy the American dream.”
Are these the words of a sane person? Or of an aging paranoid megalomaniac?
Even if it’s unclear to which category Trump belongs, shouldn’t this question be central to the coverage of his campaign for reelection?
I’m no physician, and I have no idea whether Trump is suffering from early dementia. But the weight of the evidence suggests he is. So why isn’t the media covering this — at least with the same intensity they covered Biden’s apparent difficulties?…

… We have been several times in Viborg already, but never inside the cathedral. My friend, with whom I was there this time, and I wanted to see the inside as well.

… In the ceiling painting on the right, there is only lacking a square in the middle to make it into a gnostic symbol.
… I didn’t take so many photos because I have already written about Viborg and the lakes, but this place I found worth mentioning. It is a public bathing place, which has been embellished by the municipality with the help of local artists. Some cities really make an effort. last time we were there, there was only grass.

… This is a single big willowtree, which is being protected here. It seems to me that it was hit by lightning, but it is alive and thriving.

… And then I have a little video with creatures, in this case a swan family with seven surviving young ones. The adult birds were very wary towards us. In some areas the swans are much tamer, as they are 100% protected. The mute swan is, by the way, the Danish national bird.
… Yes, Viborg is quite certainly still worth a visit. Next time, we want to walk around the southern lake. There is a footpath all the way around the lake. The northern lake has a street on one side, and not directly at the lake.

The average person throws away approximately 4 lbs. of trash every day, and 75% of it can be recycled. It is time for us to inform children and prepare them to do their part in protecting the environment. When we tell them about the effect burning plastic and other toxic waste has on our health. Empowering children with environmental solutions is now seen as a great way to help them to plan for their future.
Now that we know how the sound of the waves helps us to relax when we are at the beach, and what it does for our mental health. We will want to do more to kids to understand how important it is for them to assist with recycling, as they decrease plastic pollution. We will have clean beaches after a while.
When children are told about the importance of recycling, they are willing to assist with the separation of waste in the home and they will encourage their friends to assist their parents as well.
You will notice that they won’t litter the streets as much, they won’t be throwing plastic bottles through car windows and when they are walking on the streets they will search for bins when they are discarding trash.
The children who are aware of the benefits of recycling will want to do all they can to protect the environment, as they do the things they normally do every day. They will also be willing to spread the word, telling their friends at school about recycling and putting plastic waste in the correct bins will be something they will always do.
This will reduce the problems we have with keeping our streets, our rivers, and our beaches clean. As children who are busy protecting the environment will grow up to be adults who want the environment to be healthy.
Developing good habits early in life is always a good thing for children to do, as when good habits become a part of life. It is much easier for us to keep on living in the best way.
You’ll see that children won’t like the idea of having the waste piled up in many places in their communities and they will want to do all they can to help with recycling more often. When they know about all the things we can use recycled plastic to do, they will understand why recycling is so important…
