…Want to remind you that over a dozen GOP State Attorney Generals wanted the ability to get out of state medical records, and the Federal Government said absolutely not.
Remember, Senator Baby Voice from Alabama was putting forth legislation for nationwide database of pregnant women.
The Orange Menace has already said that he doesn’t have problems with states ‘monitoring women’s pregnancies’…

Ben Carson, who is often named as a potential running mate for Donald Trump, is out with a new book in which he calls for an end to no-fault divorce laws in the United States. “For the sake of families, we should enact legislation to remove or radically reduce incidences of no-fault divorce,” Carson writes in “The Perilous Fight,” released Tuesday.

Research has shown that no-fault divorce correlates with reductions in domestic violence and suicide rates among women. A 2015 study found that women are more likely than men to initiate divorces. In a 2016 sermon, now-House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., listed no-fault divorce laws as one of the causes turning the US into a “completely amoral society.”

Now, we have Ben Carson talking about getting rid of no-fault divorce.
It’s all related. The desire to strip women of their autonomy, and their involvement in the public sphere, and shove them back into the home with no rights.

Songs I Like (35) | beetleypete

Michael McDonald has been a member of two of my favourite bands; Steely Dan, and the Doobie Brothers. I have followed his career since it started, and when he became a solo performer in 1982, I was quick to buy his albums. He is known for being able to sing in a very high voice at times, something that tends to make people either love him or hate him. Many of the songs he has written are emotional ballads, another genre that divides listeners.

As I am including another of his songs in this series, you can conclude that I like him a lot. He is also the same age as me, which is unusual in a singer I admire. This song from 1982 definitely qualifies as emotional, so if that’s not something you enjoy listening to, best to skip the video. It was written by Leiber/Stoller, so on this occasion Michael is not singing one of his own songs.
