Start Over Again – Belladonna’s Flashlight

Losing weight is easy…… until it isn’t! We give up on living a healthy lifestyle so quickly!

Sometimes, self-sabotage is part of our plan. We search for any excuse to give up. We forgo the things we want the most, but then we realize how much effort it will take to reach our goals. Then doubt drowns our souls, leaving us at the lowest point of our lives mentally.

I deal with women who are on the hunt to reclaim their lives. Losing weight is a massive part of getting your mojo back! Notice I didn’t say working out. Even though it is a large part of losing weight, it is not the only factor. Eating clean is the key!

You can work out until your knees give out, but if you are still eating junk, then your body will not change!

Every Sunday, I give my clients a list of exercises that they should complete for the week. I base it on their fit test and focus on the areas that need improvement. My list will make your eyes pop out of your head, especially if you aren’t aware of how strong you are. I design it this way because I want my clients to build muscle and lose fat at the same time.

But many of my clients are SABOTEURS!

Quickly giving in to temptation, consuming calories upon calories, and making the scale slowly creep back up to that horrid number that signifies an unhealthy zone. Which ultimately… leaves a crippling feeling.

BUT DON’T QUIT…. HERE IS YOUR MOMENT TO SHINE!

Throwing in the towel isn’t an option. If you have failed 1000 times, then you should feel more motivated than ever to make this moment WORK. Giving in to temptation is common, and believe it or not, that’s okay.

Just start over again.

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

Hoofdstuk 8 Inheemse banden
Hoofdstuk 9 Eenvoudig leven
Hoofdstuk 10 Het Verhalenpad…

Good People Doing Good Things — Gone But Not Forgotten | Filosofa’s Word

Chef José Andrés and the people who make up the World Central Kitchen have featured in a number of my ‘good people’ posts since 2018 (see links below).  It is with great sadness that I once again highlight them today, after 7 of them were killed yesterday while being good people, trying to provide food for starving Palestinians in Gaza.  World Central Kitchens will continue to do what they have always done, but this is no doubt a blow to all those involved in providing humanitarian aid around the globe.  I just wanted to honour these seven wonderful humanitarians in this week’s ‘good people’ post.

“These are the heroes of World Central Kitchen. These 7 beautiful souls were killed by the IDF in a strike as they were returning from a full day’s mission. Their smiles, laughter, and voices are forever embedded in our memories. And we have countless memories of them giving their best selves to the world. We are reeling from our loss. The world’s loss.” – Erin Gore, CEO

Mother’s Cry Unheard – Kaushal Kishore

In rivers’ gentle flow, they seek not water’s grace,

But extract sand for roads, displacing nature’s embrace…

With rocks they construct, forsaking rarest herbs,

In stone abodes, forgetting the forest’s curbs…

*

Once shading providers, trees fall for human needs,

Their canopies yield to mundane structures’ feeds…

On fertile fields, factories rise, leaving crops bare,

Nature’s bounty neglected, her cries fill the air…

*

Driven by greed, they plunder without heed,

Like killing the chickens for golden eggs, indeed…

Endangering thoughtlessly both source and end,

A cycle of destruction, nature can’t easily mend…

*

Mother Nature weeps, as her children astray,

In calamities’ wake, message she tries to convey…

But warnings unheeded, her sorrow profound,

Like a mother mourning, her love still unbound…

*

Yet in her heart, memories of their childhood gleam,

A time when harmony was nature’s only theme…

Oh, wayward children, can you not see?

Your mother’s love, her plea for harmony?

*

EU appalled by World Central Kitchen incident – EUROPE DIPLOMATIC

Brussels 03.04.2024 “The killing by the Israeli Defence Forces of seven members of a humanitarian team of World Central Kitchen, while they were travelling to deliver food to the most vulnerable in Gaza, is appalling” reads the Joint Statement by the EU top diplomat Josep Borrell and Commissioner for Crisis Management Janez Lenarčič. (Photo above: illustration)

“We urge a swift implementation of the announced commitment by the Israeli authorities to conduct a thorough investigation and ensure accountability for those who are responsible.
