The Guardian view on the IDF’s killing of aid workers: a grim milestone in Gaza | Editorial | The Guardian

…The deaths of the innocent are happening in this war again and again and again. Death on this scale cannot be written off as a series of unfortunate accidents. It is a choice in a conflict that far exceeds any reasonable attempt to pursue those responsible for the Hamas attack on 7 October.

Asking Israel to investigate these deaths, as the UK has done, is absurd given Israel’s history of obfuscation in such cases and avoidance of accountability. (It is banning Al Jazeera under a new law allowing ministers to shut down foreign media organisations.) It is uncomfortable to dwell on foreign lives lost when thousands of Palestinian deaths have received little scrutiny, but the destruction of the relief system is killing many more. Aid ships have turned back in the wake of the attack. Israel wants to dismantle the Palestinian relief agency Unrwa, the only entity capable of responding at scale.

On the international front, Israel seems to have gambled that Iran, and its “axis of resistance”, are too weak to risk a broader confrontation, given its calibration to date. But Tehran will seek to re-establish deterrence and the supreme leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, has already vowed revenge.

In the face of growing unpopularity at home, with tens of thousands of Israelis joining the families of hostages to demand his removal, Mr Netanyahu sees his best hope of survival as a forever war. Israel’s allies are increasingly reluctant to defend his actions, but they won’t stop them either. What would it take to turn US lamentation into action and stop Joe Biden greenlighting an $18bn deal for F-15 fighter jets? Where are the lines now? What will it take for Israel’s allies to say: no more – and show they mean it?

Charities halt Gaza operations after Israeli drones kill aid workers | Gaza | The Guardian

The humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip seems likely to worsen after charities announced they are suspending operations in the territory in the aftermath of an Israeli drone attack which repeatedly targeted a clearly identified convoy of international aid workers, killing seven.

The strikes on a team from World Central Kitchen (WCK) led the charity – along with other aid organisations such as Anera, which assists refugees around the Middle East, and the US-based Project Hope, which focuses on healthcare – to announce on Tuesday that they would pause operations in Gaza to protect their staff.

Calling the decision an “unprecedented step”, Anera said that the killings, “alongside the loss of numerous other aid workers and their families, has led our team to conclude that delivering aid safely is no longer feasible”.

“Por favor, Renaldo, can we stop all of this practicing? My feet are swollen, and my toes ache.”

“Esmeralda, we must practice if we’re going to win the competition.”

“It’s snowing, and I want to go home while I still can.”

“The Flamenco has to be perfect; no missteps. We must be flawless.”

“Okay, go,” he snarled.

“Work on your costume and return early tomorrow. No excuses.”

Cautiously, Esmeralda walked to her car.

From behind, she heard a scream.

Immediately, she turned and saw Renaldo sitting on the icy concrete.

With a sheepish grin, she shouted, “No practice tomorrow … right?”

muslim family walking on sandy beach near sea in summer time

We can become the change and plan for the green future in the best way. We will find that we are living in a much better way. Even though many individuals believe they can’t do much to make a difference in the world. This way of thinking cause them to choose to ignore the many pollution problems and some even choose denial also. They say Nature will restore itself and the earth is too old to be destroyed. They give up before they even try. While others are creating green jobs and using environmental solutions to decrease pollution each day. With increased environmental education we could see more green action and a green future.

We can look at what the countries like Denmark does and decide to reduce Energy bills, decrease poverty, reduce plastic pollution, restore eco-systems, cause less air, soil and water pollution and decrease deforestation and a healthy environment will be our gift to the next generation. Fun Writings made it easy for everyone on the planet to get involved with the awesome plan to use environmental solutions to decrease pollution. Becoming the change is our best option and we all should take action.

Green action is our great solution and we can tell more people about it by simply giving children the eco-friendly books that are found on Amazon. They are filled with eco-friendly tips and green plans that will lead to green activity. There is so much more we need to do before the rich complete their plans to increase pollution by replacing humans. When we become the change we will be eating healthy food, drinking clean water and breathing clean air. Let us get busy, time is running out.

Violência Contra a Mulher – Pensamentos.me/VEM comigo!
