संदेह / Doubt – Kaushal Kishore

मुझे अच्छा लगता जब यदा कदा,
तुम्हें मुझ पर संदेह आता है…
यह तो मेरे लिए तुम्हारे सच्चे प्यार,
की गहराई को ही दर्शाता है…
🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
I value your doubt, now and then,
It reveals true care, beyond a ken…
Your skepticism, sincere and true,
Reflects the love deep within you…

Then and Now – Kaushal Kishore

As technology integrates further into human existence, it molds our lifestyles, work dynamics, and communication methods. With our increasing dependence on technological progress, various facets of daily life are intertwined with it.
Whether it’s smartphones or smart homes, we lean on these advancements for convenience and efficiency. While this reliance has undeniably improved our lives, it also prompts concerns about overdependence and potential vulnerabilities.
Our ancestors were scientifically much ahead of us in many aspects. Presently, we find ourselves revisiting their footsteps in our daily existence. Consider the following instances:
1. Transitioning from clay and other biodegradable materials to copper, steel, and plastic, we are now returning to the use of clay and other eco-friendly items.
2. In an era where literacy was limited among many, thumb impressions were used instead of signatures. Today, in the digital age, we are reverting to fingerprints and iris scans for biometric authentication.
3. In the past, those with limited means were obligated to wear tattered, simple attire. Today, prosperous individuals, particularly the youth, opt for ripped trousers instead of well-pressed ones, displaying affluence under the guise of fashion.
4. Initially, cotton garments were the most affordable and simplest choice. Over time, there was a shift from cotton to terylene and terrycot, only to circle back to cotton due to its comfort and convenience.
5. Overcoming the challenges of a difficult farm life using organic manure, we transitioned to chemicals and fertilizers, and now, having completed IIM and MBA, we are wholeheartedly embracing organic farming.
6. Transitioning from natural, fresh foods, and juices to processed options like canned food and packed juices, we are now reverting to a focus on natural, wholesome foods.
7. We abandoned outdated and simple possessions in favor of branded and costly items, but we now appreciate those same things as valuable antiques.
8. As children, we engaged in play amidst dirt and soil, but concerns about infection restricted children from such activities. Today, diverse soils are being used in the creation of cosmetics.
9. In our youth, we viewed bicycles as a luxury, later transitioning to bikes and four-wheelers. It was only later that we recognised the significance of bicycles for maintaining fitness.
10. Our journey took us from village life and jungles to bustling disco pubs and the fast-paced urban environment, eventually leading us back to the tranquility of the village for peace of mind and improved health.
While nature often offers superior alternatives than current technology, I acknowledge the value of technological advancements. Change is inevitable, and with time, adjustments become necessary.
In my perspective, it’s essential to strike a balance between technological integration and preserving fundamental human skills and connections for a sustainable and well-rounded future.
