CÍRCULOS

En la vastedad de la noche

una mirada se pierde fácilmente.

¿Dónde están los límites

que los versos no llegan?

¿Dónde está el origen

y dónde el final?

Realmente todo gira

o somos nosotros que,

de alguna manera u otra,

estamos dando vueltas y vueltas.

Dies musste ich euch unbedingt zeigen / … I had to show you this – Stella, oh, Stella

Eine verbesserte Version des Baum-Betts. Ist es nicht fantastisch? Und man kann trotzdem noch ein Oberlicht im Dach haben.

… An improved version of the tree bed. Isn’t it fantastic? And one can still have a skylight in the roof.

Ich weiss gar nicht mehr, wo ich es gesehen habe, ich glaube auf Instagram. Dort nannte man es „Leseecke“, aber ich könnte dort durchaus schlafen.

… I don’t remember, where I have seen it, I think it was on Instagram. They called it „reading nook“, but I could imagine to sleep there.

Logo ali, mora dentro do sol a esperança.

The Editorial – Michael Seidel, writer

Despite my criticisms of the NYTimes, I am happy to see the editorial, as it validates my impressions of Trump as lawless, and not the primary enforcer of the law which this nation needs. Though it addresses people who will disregard their advice, the rest of agree, it needed to be said.

Yes, it’s all complex, isn’t it?

Israel financed Hamas to weaken the Palestinian Authority, Josep Borrell claims | Euronews

Josep Borrell, the European Union’s foreign policy chief, has accused Israel of financing Hamas to “weaken the Palestinian Authority of Fatah.”

The diplomat, who has prepared a 10-point roadmap for a potential peace process, did not provide concrete evidence to support his claim.

In scathing comments made during a speech at the University of Valladolid in Spain, Borrell also accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of “personally” derailing any attempt to resolve the decades-long Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

“The bad news is that Israel, in particular its government, is completely refusing – and yesterday Netanyahu said it again as if he was anticipating my words today – to accept a (two-state) solution that he has personally been boycotting for the past 30 years,” Borrell said.

Representative Barbara Lee (D-CA) was unceremoniously tossed out of a committee hearing by Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar (R-FL) on Thursday — after voicing her opinion on the relationship (or lack thereof) between the United States and Cuba.

“I was just kicked out of a House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee hearing on Cuba police because the Republican Chair didn’t like my views,” posted the California Congresswoman on X, later adding, “By taking this action the Chair is conducting the same silencing of alternative voices that occurs under undemocratic regimes & authoritarians like Trump.”

During the House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing, which was chaired by Rep. Salazar — Rep. Lee spoke in favor of restoring diplomatic relations between the United States and Cub. The Republican Congresswoman accused Rep. Lee of spreading of spreading “communist propoganda” and kicked her out.

As she was being asked to leave, Lee criticized Rep. Salazar for perpetuating the same authoritarian policies she criticized the Cuban government for. “I am an African American woman with a point of view,” said Rep. Lee. “We’re in a democracy those points of views are allowed. And you are doing exactly what you say the Cuban government is.”

Things went even further on social media. Rep. Salazar called the political veteran a “communist sympathizer” and accused her of being friends with Fidel Castro. Rep. Salazar also said that since Rep. Lee was not a member of the committee she had a right to kick her out for her “disruption.”
