शायरी / Poetry – Kaushal Kishore

कुछ लोग लिखते हैं शायरी

दर्द और प्यार की भावनाओं को

व्यक्त करने के लिए,

जबकि कुछ लोग उन्हें पढ़ते हैं

उन भावनाओं को भुलाने के लिए

या फिर उन्हें याद करने के लिए…

🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀

Some people craft verses

to share their heart’s pain and love,

Some read to escape,

like wings of a mourning dove…

Others read to reminisce,

each line a memory’s glove,

In poetry’s embrace,

emotions soar above…

Cold winter nights,
sitting by the fire.

Wisdom’s words echo
when hearts resonate.

Sharing truth, bearing souls,
taking down the façade.

Hearing
what’s emerging,
moment to moment,
between the lines.

Quill in hand,
heart in throat,

the bitter pill is hard to swallow.
choking on words that feel hallow.

Barren branches freeze,
sending chills up my spine.

Eyes lock sipping cider,
hearts pitter patter with sweet elixir.

Snow blanketed mountain tops
light my inner fire.

River’s melt oozing,
warmed by candlelight.

Electric nights in this
Winter Wonderland.

Counting down the minutes,
toasting in sweet embrace,
a steamy kiss, fireworks!

Honest conversations warm the heart.
We transform, not conform,
welcoming the new year.
