Lowly – Alphabet Ravine

If it is my lot in life to be a worm of the earth,
then when they chip away
each piece of me,

I will regrow.

If life is black and white – Nguyễn Thị Phương Trâm

If life is black and white,
The day blue skies and starry is night

Under the sheets in heated passion
Beneath the surface buried burden

We ride the waves that is called life
Shades of just not black nor white

We made it this far
Forget not whom nor where we are

Mark a quarter century true
Achieved more than most knew…

FOOTPATHS BY THE SEA – Nguyễn Thị Phương Trâm

A poem in Vietnamese by Đinh Thị Như Thúy
Translator: Nguyễn Thị Phương Trâm

footpaths leading us towards the sea
together with the bitter salty breeze

a city like poetry
please, via your heart read
what you seek shall never be
what you see

a city like poetry
please, sit, talk, live again
discern the mysteries of the busy footpaths
their delicate presence
in the new leaves

together with the persistent blue sky
beyond the traffic noise
there’s the silence

Understanding Organic Coffee: What Is It & Why Should You Care? – The Strong Traveller

What is organic coffee?

When talking about organic coffee, it is essential to note that we are comparing it to conventional coffee. Traditional coffee growers use synthetic pesticides and herbicides to manage weeds and pests. In fact, conventional coffee is one of the most heavily pesticide-sprayed crops in the world.

On the other hand, organic coffee farmers utilize farming practices that work in harmony with the environment and promote biodiversity, soil health and other good benefits for the world.
