Nossos valores

Pensamentos.me/VEM comigo!

Planning A Trilogy While Writing A Novel

Context, Thought, and Learning: ShiraDest Offers Project Do Better

This book keeps expanding itself into unknown realms of fantasy, making me wonder if I am writing a novel, a trilogy, or just losing my mind…  In any case, to keep from losing my notes and various thoughts that interrupt me while working on one project, I just jot the idea down on the first bit of paper I find, and then keep on going.  Unfortunately, that often means that I am left at the end of the day trying to figure out what to do with a scrap of paper holding what could be a good part of the current story, if edited well, or what could become a totally new story, if I knew the characters and setting from which this particular idea popped out of, and into my head.  Ugh.

अलविदा/ Goodbye

I still wonder
what you saw in me,
when you first met,
and what you saw in me,
when you said

Opinion | In Israel, the Hobbling of the Supreme Court Is Just the Start – The New York Times

Once checks on government power will be removed, his coalition can move forward with its substantive agenda: strengthening its hold on the West Bank, constructing more settlements there, and eventually annexing those territories; increasing financial support to ultra-Orthodox Jews and enshrining their exemption from military duty; curtailing advancements made by the L.G.B.T.Q. community; scaling back women’s rights, especially those regarding religiously driven gender segregation and marriage and divorce; and advancing the rights and interests of Jews over other groups throughout Israel and the occupied territories, to the detriment of Israel’s Palestinian citizens and other minorities.

I contemplate the sky, streaked with gray

I look outside, drizzle falling like silver

I wish life was that simple

Such is the landscape that I contemplate from the window

The green grass does not know about everyday dilemmas

The hidden bird, you can’t imagine…

The inherent evil of the world

Who could be the butterfly

Who are not afraid of getting their wings wet

Because when you open them, you open your whole universe

Hopeful and pure…

And bet your brief life

Launching into the moment 🦋

Filosofa's Word

Tonight, I transport you back in time … waaaaayyyyy back, to 1958.  I was 7 years old … some of you probably weren’t even born yet!

To the world, he was known as The Big Bopper, but his name was Jiles Perry (J.P.) Richardson.  He was a prominent DJ at KTRM in Beaumont, Texas with a few songs to his credit, such as this one, and his songs would later provide hits for Johnny Preston with Running Bear and George Jones with White Lightnin’.  Sadly, the Bopper’s life ended in a plane crash in 1959, the same crash that took the lives of Buddy Holly and Ritchie Valens.  This was the last song performed at the Clear Lake, Iowa concert the night Holly, Valens and Richardson died.

The spoken intro to this song “Hellooooo, baby. Yeah, this is the Big Bopper speakin’…” is typical DJ patter, which was The…
