Far too often the people who work to make, sell and distribute a product or service are not the ones who are enjoying the profits of their labours – the corporate CEOs are using the product of the workers’ blood, sweat and tears to enhance their own profits, to buy yachts, mansions, vacation homes, and private airplanes. This week may have given us a glimmer of hope that workers do have some power to change things, albeit minimally.
