Green River was my first CCR album…

This song was written by group leader John Fogerty, who explained in his Storytellers special: “Green River is really about this place where I used to go as a kid on Putah Creek, near Winters, California. VEROÑO

El plumier de Nenuse

¿Cuál es tu estación favorita del año? ¿Por qué?

Discrimination is a bigger AI risk than human extinction – EU commissioner | Artificial intelligence (AI) | The Guardian

Margrethe Vestager said although the existential risk from advances in AI may be a concern, it was unlikely, whereas discrimination from the technology was a real problem.

She told the BBC “guardrails” were needed for AI, including for situations where it was being used for decisions that could affect livelihoods, such as mortgage applications or access to social services.

“Probably [the risk of extinction] may exist, but I think the likelihood is quite small. I think the AI risks are more that people will be discriminated [against], they will not be seen as who they are,” she said.

Counterfeit pills now found in pharmacies across Mexico – Los Angeles Times

During five trips to Mexico, Times reporters purchased and tested 55 pills from 29 pharmacies in eight cities. A little more than 50% — 28 pills — were counterfeit.

More than a third of the opioid painkillers tested — 15 out of 40 — were counterfeit, the vast majority positive for fentanyl. One tested positive for a weaker medication and another tested positive for no drugs at all. Meanwhile, 12 of 15 Adderall samples tested positive for other substances, including methamphetamine and, in one case, MDMA, the designer drug commonly known as ecstasy.
