Nenhum amor acaba de forma instantânea. É ilusória tal ideia. O amor, sobretudo acaba quando se vai deixando de manter a ilusão que se tem sobre a idoneidade da outra pessoa, de seus atos, da sua forma de agir, principalmente, quando ela não é recíproca diante daquilo que é dado a ela. Da mesma forma, pode-se se fizer que, não se ama uma pessoa logo que se conhece; pelo contrário, existe a necessidade de um tempo para as coisas fazerem sentido, assim também é o amor que nutrimos por uma pessoa, antes dele acabar, tudo passa pela mesma exigência do tempo.

Last fall Sher and I were visiting our daughter, her husband and our 8 year old grandson who live in the Seattle area. One day I was in our daughter’s backyard  taking photos of some of the leather medicine bags that I have been making.

My personal medicine bag trimmed with the colors of the 4 directions, a silver feather and a gift from the sea.

While I was arranging another leather medicine bag for photos, I heard a loud “caw-caw” from somewhere up the street. Almost immediately a large black crow landed in a small tree about 15 yards away. Crow then began to “talk” to me with varying tones and volume. I responded to him, and thanked him for sharing his space with me.

Crow and I shared space and spirit together for several minutes. Sharing time with animals is so inspiring to me, and I consider them…

Let’s fight these heinous movements who not only deny the humanity of those who challenge traditional gender roles and stereotypes, particularly LGBTI persons.

Apart from undermining equality, they also endanger democracies. Today, let us stand up for justice and protection for all.
