The vulnerable Blue Kite Swallowtail needs your help

In November, 2020,I wrote a post about the Blue Kite Swallowtail, an exquisite butterfly that is becoming increasingly scarce. It is currently listed as Vulnerable. Scientists are currently reevaluating its status as the reduced numbers observed in recent years would seem to suggest that this assessment may no longer be accurate.

Please keep an eye out for these beautiful creatures, and if you do see them, make a note of the numbers you see, the date and time, nearest community, parish, and if possible GPS location. Please send this information to entomologist Vaughan Turland, at v.turland@gmail.com. I am recapping below his description of this fragile creature – please, look out for those “blue flashes of light.”

Peace – normabobb

Peace should be seen as a doing word. We have to be an evangelist for peace. Where there is peace, war, homelessness, hunger, hate, greed, and all other disparities cease to exist. We are all holistically joined together whether we want to believe it or not. Peace exists, we just have to acknowledge it and live it.
