There’s still time for state lawmakers to reject the crude pandering of a bill that seeks to overturn a bulwark of First Amendment law.

Is there still free speech in the US? Allegedly we have it here in Denmark too, but only as long as we share the opinion of the government. If not, people are ridiculed or slandered.

I’d say we still have it, although under attack by people like the Florida governor and many on the right who claim to be for freedom but only their version. 😦

I sometimes think that the situation in the US is so polarized that both parties only accept their own version. It would be good if there were more strong parties so that compromised would have to be discussed.

The right has gone off the edge into an area that was only the fringe before and they are funded by some nutty billionaires. My hope is that the mainstream conservatives find their courage and civility again.
