The End of the World Is Just the Beginning: Mapping the Collapse of Globalization (2022) by Peter Zeihan

Cheery title, huh? And guess what? It’s hardly about climate change. Zeihan’s premise is that:

  • Demographics: The aging population will undermine global productivity and growth.
  • Nationalism: The US pulling back from maintaining global peace and shipping security will undermine supply chains and trade.

Zeihan is a geopolitical strategist who consults with business, governments, and the US military.

Referring to what he refers to as the Order following WWII, he says:

“Most people think of the Bretton Woods system as a sort of Pax Americana. The American Century, if you will. But that’s simply not the case. The entire concept of the Order is that the United States disadvantages itself economically in order to purchase the loyalty of a global alliance. That is what globalization is. The past several decades haven’t been an…

Cheery title, huh? And guess what? It’s hardly about climate change. Zeihan’s premise is that demographics and the unraveling of the Bretton Woods “Order” created after WWII will upend globalization and all that we’re used to. You might not agree with all his premises but it’s better to at least consider them.

You Are Your ‘Bestabilities’

From Behind the Pen

All too often we tend to use the lives of other people as our gauge to living and even success. We tend to pin the extremism of their materialism on our vision board of what success looks like instead of what our success looks like to us. We shouldn’t compare ourselves to others because their approach to their goals and their access to resources may be clearly different from what’s available to us.

So take what you have, use it, and even revamp it if you have to. But whatever and however you do it, always do your best, look your best, and be your best. You represent you.

In the flight of “HUG”

Bio-Blogger

Are you hurt??
Hug me with all your heart,
Close your eyes and feel it.
Let your heart touch mine,
They have lots to speak out-
Their silence, let's listen.

May be you kept it holding,
I may kept it without sharing
Hurting each other for a reason.
Let them speak out their hearts
Hug me tight and let's listen.

Do they really deserve any hurt?
Truely no for our flaws&faults.
Now, let's open our eyes firmly
And look straight at each other,
They do have something to share.
Let them shred it out from heart
Do not look away, let's listen.

Let them shred their deep feelings and hurts out,
Let's feel their feelings,
And their soundless scream.
Did you notice something?
My tears are in your eyes
Your's are reflecting in mine.

Either a pleasure or misery,
We share it together like -
A hug, a tight hug…

जीत / Win

Kaushal Kishore

हम दुनिया में
सबसे जीत सकते हैं,
सिवाय उस इंसान के,
जो खुद हार जाता है
जान-बूझ कर,
हमारी खुशी के लिए…

😊😊😊😊😊😊

We can win over
everyone in the world,
except the person,
who loses
on purpose,
for our happiness…

गांठ / Knot

Kaushal Kishore

Contradictions Of “Life”

Filosofa's Word

Just a few of my rambling thoughts on this Saturday night/Sunday morn.  America doesn’t need to be made “Great” again, it just needs to be made “okay” again.  Right now, it is not okay.  America is a study in contradictions.  Setting aside the political contradictions for another day, the societal contradictions are tearing the nation apart.  Taking a look at just one of those contradictions … life.

I find it interesting that the anti-abortionists call themselves “pro-life” when they really are not.  They are quite simply just against abortion and against the rights of women to make their own life’s choices.  IF they were truly ‘pro-life’ they would also support measures to ensure that no child goes to bed hungry at night … in fact, that no person goes to bed hungry.  They would be advocating for help to feed the poor and provide housing for the homeless, they…
