Has the Jamaican Government responded to the IACHR regarding human rights of citizens near bauxite mines?
I rarely “copy and paste” editorials or articles in our local newspapers, if at all. However, I see this Sunday Gleaner editorial, published on January 1, as related to a recent post – where I pointed outthat, as it appears, the Jamaican Government has not yet responded to Resolution 65/22 of the Inter American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) regarding the human rights of residents affected by bauxite mining. I noted in that post that the Government “has had three weeks from November 24, to respond to the Commission. This would take it up to December 14, which is already past. If those twenty days are working days, then this would mean they would have to respond by December 22″…
I would be pleasantly surprised if the Government has, in fact, responded. I would also be pleasantly surprised if there any meaningful dialogue on the future of bauxite mining…

With smiles evident behind face masks and thank-you gifts in hand, these sentinels in plain black scrubs are tasked with seeking volunteers whose flights originated in China who are willing to swab their noses to support the search for new viral variants. Those who agree will receive a free take-home COVID-19 test as a token of America’s appreciation.
While new to LAX, the CDC program already operates in international airports in San Francisco, Seattle, New York City, Newark, N.J., Washington, D.C., and Atlanta. Over the past 15 months, it has persuaded about 80,000 travelers from every corner of the world to participate.

É muito comum essa realidade praticada por parceiros abusivos. Veja, o termo usado aqui para definir ” parceiros abusivos” pode ser relacionado tanto a homens como mulheres), os dois podem ter a mesma conduta na hora de agredir seus parceiros. One of those is Max Schlund, who was originally called Rostislav Teslyuk before he changed his name a decade ago.
He has travelled to Russian-controlled east Ukraine in recent months, plus a Russian government agency — currently under EU sanctions — paid for his plane ticket to attend a conference where Russian President Vladimir Putin was a keynote speaker.
The agency, Rossotrudnichestvo, was sanctioned by the bloc for overseeing a network of “influence” that was spreading Kremlin narratives.
