I am not like you

I am not like you

since you

can just leave

when you can no longer use me

as for me?

me?

me

how can I possibly leave

this body has been given to me

by my parents…

_____

tôi không thể như bạn

vì bạn

có thể rời bỏ tôi

khi đã hết vui

còn tôi?

tôi?

tôi

làm sao có thể từ bỏ

xác thân mẹ cha

đã ban tặng cho mình…

Livro

Pensamentos.me/VEM comigo!

Speaking of the Environment … — Filosofa’s Word

Yesterday, a ruptured pipe in the Keystone pipeline dumped some 14,000 barrels, more than a half-million gallons of crude oil into a creek in north-eastern Kansas.  It was the largest onshore crude pipeline spill in nine years and the largest Keystone spill in history. How many fish and other aquatic creatures died yesterday as a […]

Dietary Supplements and Heart Health — CRAIN’S COMMENTS

Any discussion of diet or supplements is problematic. In part that’s because it depends on the accuracy with which patients remember and report what they eat. As anyone whose done market research for the food industry can tell you, most people have trouble remembering what they had for lunch, much less for any time period […]

Done with masks? Too bad, because COVID isn’t done with us – Los Angeles Times

before you dash off an email repeating something you heard about masking never actually having been shown to reduce transmission, let me just say this: Masking worksIt just does. I don’t know how else to respond, but what I have noticed is that people who would just rather not wear masks cite the disclaimers, caveats and qualifiers mentioned by highly regarded scientists such as Dr. Anthony Fauci and run with them — while ignoring that these experts strenuously favor masking (with high quality, well-fitting, easily available N-95/KN-95 respirators) when transmission is high.

At least the people declaring “I’m done with masks” own up to their impatience without pretending the evidence is on their side. Because it isn’t.

Two other men were separately each sentenced Friday to four years in prison Friday for their actions connected to the riot.
