Estas tardes de mi vida transcurren como un regalo, un obsequio que llega de repente y se queda a mi lado para hacer amenas mis soledades. Tardes silenciosas, quizá, por sus minutos cargados de remembranzas, que transitan del cielo azul, con horizontes amarillos, naranjas y rojizos, al celaje melancólico y plomado que antecede las noches de luceros que alumbran mi camino o de tormenta que me empapa con el propósito de que nunca olvide que en realidad he vivido. Tardes de susurros, tal vez, porque el viento suele entregar mensajes, la lluvia tiene su lenguaje y la nieve habla durante ciertas temporadas, cuando uno es joven o ya es viejo. Tardes livianas y pesadas, despues de mañanas frescas e intensas y de mediodías brillantes. Tardes que no son día ni noche. Tardes para el balance y la reflexión, antes…

PARIS — After taking a few steps back to get a running start, Hadj Benhalima dashed toward the building, pushed against its wall with his foot, propelled himself upward and stretched out his arm.

At the peak of his leap, he flipped off a light switch, more than 10 feet off the ground. A click sound rang out, and the bright lights of a nearby barbershop went off instantly.

“Oooh,” his friends cheered, as Mr. Benhalima, a thin 21-year-old dressed all in black, landed back on the sidewalk. It was the second store sign he had turned off on a recent nighttime tour across Paris’s upscale neighborhoods. Many more would follow as he soared up and dropped back down across the city.
