when the poem had completely lost its mind

when the poem had completely lost its mind
it was taken to the court
the maiden's laughter
like the gale
sheer garment filled the sky

the winter afternoon
bellowed a cow in labour
heavy thud of a calf
quagmire of birth
bloody placenta

nothing but silence out on train tracks
sleepers unmoving
as I rested my head on a spring meadow
as sleepy as those men after copulation
after smeeping with countless nameless women

summer is now across the fields
the calf continued to search for its mother
screaming, chased after the yellow thunder
flashing sky
blue lightning
