Biden administration will stop buying Covid-19 vaccines, treatments and tests as early as this fall, Jha says – CNN (Me: you gotta be wrong on this – I want my taxes to protect me not for-profit drug companies and pharmacies!!!)

“My hope is that in 2023, you’re going to see the commercialization of almost all of these products. Some of that is actually going to begin this fall, in the days and weeks ahead. You’re going to see commercialization of some of these things,” he said.
Availability of those products would transition to the regular health-care system, Jha said, so if you need a vaccine or an antiviral treatment, you’d get it from your doctor or from a hospital.

How much virus does a person with COVID exhale? New research has answers

This research showed that all three of those variants that have won the infection race … come out of the body more efficiently when people talk or shout than the earliest strains of the coronavirus,” says John Volckens, a public-health engineer at Colorado State University in Fort Collins.

Study co-author Kristen Coleman, who researches emerging infectious diseases at the University of Maryland in College Park, says this means that people should be “pushing governments to invest in improving indoor air quality by improving ventilation and filtration systems”…

The team found that participants infected with the Alpha, Delta and Omicron variants emitted significantly more viral RNA when exhaling than did people infected with other variants. These include ancestral variants, such as the one first detected in Wuhan, China, and those not associated with increased transmissibility — such as Gamma, which arose in late 2020. For participants with Delta and Omicron, their fine aerosol contained on average five times the amount of virus that was detected in their larger, coarse aerosol.

Man Charged with Making Threat to Arizona Election Official | OPA | Department of Justice

This case is part of the Justice Department’s Election Threats Task Force. Announced by Attorney General Merrick B. Garland and launched by Deputy Attorney General Lisa O. Monaco in June 2021, the Task Force has led the department’s efforts to address threats of violence against election workers, and to ensure that all election workers — whether elected, appointed, or volunteer — are able to do their jobs free from threats and intimidation. The Task Force engages with the election community and state and local law enforcement to assess allegations and reports of threats against election workers, and has investigated and prosecuted these matters where appropriate, in partnership with FBI field offices and U.S. Attorneys’ Offices throughout the country. A year after its formation, the Task Force is continuing this work and supporting the United States Attorneys’ Offices and FBI Field Offices nationwide as they carry on the critical work that the Task Force has begun.  Source: Man Charged with Making Threat to Arizona Election Official | OPA | Department of Justice

Study: Many people unaware they’re infected may be spreading COVID-19 – UPI.com (Me: and if unmasked… passed it along with ease)

More than half of the people infected with COVID-19’s Omicron variant were unaware they had the highly contagious virus, and this may be a “key contributor” to its rapid person-to-person transmission within communities, a new study says.

Researchers found that 56% of 210 adult patients and employees with recent Omicron variant infection who participated in the study at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles reported being unaware they were infected.
