Let’s go!

De malinha pronta

It’s the end of the world
So what?!
Grab my hand… let’s move on
Take your bike
Go for a walk
Enjoy the ride
Alone or with your best friend
If life gives you spoons
Eat an ice-cream
If you have knives instead
Cut everything except your head
If the sky showers your brain with heavy rain
Forget the umbrella
Be grateful!
Your villain thoughts will be washed away
Remember the best is yet to come
Meanwhile, let’s party!

If The Environment was Protected more Food Shortage Would be Reduced

FunWritings

When people care about the health of each other

They will care about the health of the Earth they call Mother

More will be done to reduce food shortage and starvation

Farmers will be supported more, so they can change the bad situation

More people would be able to share and care

When more crops are planted there will be less despair

It would be good if more was done to distribute food all over the world by now

With all the modern technology, less could be spent on war and we could figure out how

How we could find ways to plant enough crops to feed everyone on the planet

How we could do more for the poor, there might be a lot of help we can get

Violência Doméstica

Pensamentos.me/VEM comigo!

” Ele é assim mesmo!” Mas, me ama.

Eye Need a Break

From Behind the Pen

The eyes have it, and the eyes can tell a lot. I needed corrective lenses, eyeglasses, contacts, or both since 4th grade. My optometrist back then told me to study by daylight and not strain my eyes by doing a lot of reading by unnatural light. Eyestrain was giving me headaches but reports are pouring in about the health hazards of eye care.

An uptick in eye problems surged when the pandemic began because more people were working remotely, or in school via Zoom. What’s more alarming is that a host of vision and eye problems such as infections, injuries, and increased nearsightedness is occurring more among children. With the increased usage of Smartphones, computers, e-readers, iPads, and tv screens, digital eye strain is causing more vision problems than before.

Such symptoms include fatigue, dry eye, blurry vision, and headaches. While uncorrected vision problems are a…

Lavender Creamed Honey Pears

snapshotsincursive

What’s Cooking in Gail’s Kitchen? Enjoyable Eats: Lavender Creamed Honey Pears! Whenever pears come into season, I feel as though a festive dessert is in order. But then again, I’m spoiled. Family members “gift” us with a different fruit-of-the-month selection all year long. A box gets delivered to our doorstep with a little card that tells us about the delectables inside. Often there are serving suggestions as well as ripening and storage tips. Then my mind begins to wander as I plan different ways to come up with recipes. That is, unless I simply succumb to their aroma and eat them as they are. Here’s a festive dessert that will get you raves through the holidays.

LAVENDER CREAMED HONEY PEARS

Ingredients:

1 large pear, skin on, halved, and cored with a melon scooper

2 tablespoons sweet white wine

2 tablespoons creamed honey

1/8 teaspoon cinnamon

1 tablespoon butter, room temperature

Did You Know-Grapes

In Dianes Kitchen

Did you know that you shouldn’t wash your grapes until shortly before you eat them?

They should never be sealed in a bag or container with a lid. Grapes need circulation so go ahead and leave them in the store bag or container that they came in.

If you bring them home and leave them on the counter they will start to go bad within a couple of days.

Grapes should be refrigerated for longer life and the best place to store them is in the crisper with higher humidity or in the back of the shelf where it is colder. Storing them at 30-32 degrees with 90% humidity will preserve them even longer.

Grapes can be frozen and are delicious to eat right out of the freezer.
