The Great Chasm

Polling has not recovered since 2016 when Trump supporters decided, it was reported, to start lying to pollsters on a regular basis. I do not know how to fix that but in the meantime if you want good government, you simply do not for GOP at any level.

Now, before I get into the poll results that I find either confusing or unconscionable, let me pose a question for you … and this is one I would like you to ask of some of your friends who support the Republican Party …

If I am taking my trash to the curb and see your young child or grandchild playing in the street just as a large truck comes careening from the other direction, and if I run out and grab your child/grandchild out of harm’s way, what is the first thing you will say to me when I deliver your child/grandchild safely to your door?  Will you ask me whether I am a Democrat or a Republican?  Or…

Letters to our Bodies ( Conversations with Lebo and Nsatu) — Sanctuary of Greatness

We get so caught up in our daily routines that we forget how important it is to appreciate our body. Given that we are only given one physical body, we owe it to ourselves to take adequate care of it.Women, on the other hand, are regularly exposed to body shaming, either by males or by other women. Whether we’re thin, chubby, tall, or short, we’ve all been subjected to body shaming in some way or another at some point in our lives. We’d like to voice out against body shaming in honor of Women’s Month, which finishes today. It’s terrible to have to deal with body shaming, especially with the insecurities that we have as women. In today’s post, we write a letter to…

What was being decided. This, he says, is apartheid in language; colonialism in language. Having your life and safety dictated to you, on your own land, in the settler’s tongue.

The policing of citizens begins with being bound…
