A consciência é uma espécie de pureza da moral. Só ela é capaz de nos deixar interpretar a vida, as situações, os fragmentos extraordinários, e os não ” tão bons” – os que exigem palavras cumpridas de forma justa, luminosa em vários aspectos nesse nosso tentar em “compreender” a vida e as suas muitas questões.

A consciência é prioritária no campo de qualquer reflexão, seja afirmação minha para comigo, ou para com o outro. A lógica da vida é algo que você tece através da consciência. Na verdade, não existe outra maneira de nos tornarmos pessoas éticas, sem levar em consideração a veracidade desse pensamento. É só através desse traço único e indivisível, tomado pela razão que as pessoas se mostram quem são conforme suas atitudes. Eu não posso falar e agir diferente, porque se assim fizer, simplesmente estaria agindo em desconformidade com o meu caráter, com a minha fala…

Some Birds Are Laying Eggs Much Earlier in Response to Climate Change – Yale E360

A third of bird species in Chicago are laying their eggs a month earlier than they did 100 years ago, according to a new study that compares recent observations with data from century-old eggs. Scientists believe that rising temperatures are to blame for the shift in egg-laying.

“The majority of the birds we looked at eat insects, and insects’ seasonal behavior is also affected by climate,” said John Bates, curator of birds at the Field Museum in Chicago and lead author of study. “The birds have to move their egg-laying dates to adapt.”

Guests and crew members test positive for COVID-19 aboard Princess Cruise ship – Los Angeles Times

Passengers and crew members tested positive for COVID-19 aboard a 15-day Princess Cruise trip to the Panama Canal that returned Sunday to the Port of San Francisco.

Those affected aboard the ship the Ruby Princess were either asymptomatic or showed mild symptoms of COVID-19 and were isolated and quarantined, Princess Cruises said in a statement. The cruise line did not say how many guests and crew members tested positive, or at what point in the trip they did so.

The ship has since departed San Francisco for a 15-day cruise to Hawaii.

The cruise line requires guests to show a negative COVID-19 test and proof that they were fully vaccinated at least 14 days before the start of the trip. Vaccination rates for guests and crew members on the Ruby Princess were at 100%, Princess Cruises said.

First Chicken-Free Egg White Product Reaches US Markets – Slashdot

One of the first products made using a novel animal-free egg white is now available in the United States. The unique macarons are the first to be made with an egg white protein that comes from engineered yeast, designed to be indistinguishable from what is found in chicken eggs. The Every Company, founded in 2014 under the name Clara Foods, is one of several food technology companies working to create real animal-free proteins using a method called precision fermentation. The idea behind the process is to break down certain animal products, such as milk and eggs, to their molecular components and then use microorganisms to produce those components. Earlier this year the first cow-free dairy milk using this method hit supermarket shelves in the United States. That product was created using whey proteins from engineered fungus, while other companies are working on similar dairy products using engineered yeast to produce the desired milk proteins.
