Michigan Republican Party co-chair says Trump campaign asked for false elector strategy

On the same day, 16 Republicans gathered at the Michigan Republican Party headquarters in Lansing to sign the unofficial certificates falsely claiming Trump won. They falsely identified themselves as Michigan’s “duly elected and qualified electors.”

Republicans who signed the illegitimate documents included Republican National Committeewoman Kathy Berden, Shelby Township Clerk Stanely Grot, and Amy Facchinello, a member of the Grand Blanc Community Schools Board of Education.

     A basic understanding of science, and support for free access by all residents to high quality branch libraries with trained Reference Librarians who also understand basic science, is another responsibility of being an Adult in a republic. 

Understanding the basics underlying any illness, like smallpox or typhoid, the history behind it, and the sensible precautions that can be taken to avoid it, are like teaching Typhoid Mary why she was a carrier.  We all have a duty and a right to understand, and to protect our fellow human beings.

‘Incredible Morale Boost:’ Military Medical Team Arrives At NJ University Hospital – Gothamist

A 25-person military medical team has arrived in New Jersey to help the overwhelmed University Hospital in Newark.

It’s one of many facilities across the country to which President Biden ordered deployments to ease staffing shortages caused by a surge in the omicron coronavirus variant and a swarm of health care employees leaving the profession due to burnout. The team will be in place for at least a month, assisting everything from respiratory care to covering night shifts for worn-out staff.
