     I am so happy!!  I just got a comment from a fellow teacher in a similar situation to what I started in, and my lesson plans have helped with kids from difficult backgrounds!  That is why I made them so varied, holistic, and as hands on as possible, and that is why I work so hard on Do Better, because all it takes is a little re-thinking of the way we do things to make it work for all of us!   It just requires the same kind of community thinking that any democracy movement must practice.   Ok, back to today’s regularly scheduled lesson plan!  🙂
