Inhale Peace; Exhale Love. Joy will Follow! - RUELHA

There was a time Relationships matured like wine They always blossomed into something concrete And the circuit would always be complete Those were innocent days And people had honest ways But times have changed Just like marriages are less arranged I grew up believing if they've had more than one They're Casanova, womanizers or just for fun So, everyone should end up with their childhood sweetheart And there would be no replacement for that part Love was meant to be eternal Feelings were never expected to be situational Engagements were supposed to be perpetual And love was never meant to be conditional There was a time I thought it were a crime If you broke up with someone I'd point at them with the judgement gun But, today I look around and see Most married people aren't really happy Most committed people are actually miserable Cursing themselves for that decision…

Study: Requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination for some activities boosts shot uptake – UPI.com

Study: Requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination for some activities boosts shot uptake Regions that require proof of COVID-19 vaccination to enter indoor restaurants, theaters and events see a boost in inoculation rates after instituting the policies, a study published Monday by the Lancet Public Health found.

Countries starting at lower-than-average vaccine coverage in the study, such as France, Israel, Italy and Switzerland, experienced a large increase in uptake of the shots after requiring so-called “vaccine passports” for certain activities, the data showed.

In Colombia, threatened women of the Wayuú community continue to fight rampant mining

  • The Wayuú Women’s Force, founded in 2006, is an Indigenous organization that denounces the coal mining that has dammed and contaminated rivers, leaving much of La Guajira without water.
  • Members of the organization have received death threats but continue to train women to stand up for their human rights.
  • In addition to their work in La Guajira, the Wayuú women are developing ways of holding companies all over the world accountable for their negative environmental impact.

NHS trusts criticised over system that films mental health patients in their bedrooms | NHS | The Guardian (Me: danger of hacking and compromising patients?)

It includes a live video feed of the patient, which is recorded and kept for 24-72 hours, depending on the NHS trust, before being deleted. Oxehealth, which created the system, said it was not like CCTV because staff could only view the video feed for about 10-15 seconds during a vital signs check or in response to a safety incident.

The system, which is also installed at Exeter police station custody suite and an Oxfordshire care home, can alert staff if someone else has unexpectedly entered a patient’s room or if they are in a blindspot, such as the bathroom, for too long.

Alexa Knight, associate director of policy and practice at Rethink Mental Illness, said: “While we appreciate that the motivation for putting surveillance cameras in people’s bedrooms stems from the need to protect them, to do so without clear consent is unjustifiable and this pilot should be suspended immediately.”
