gifts under the tree, it seems like some kind of land in-
between, known and not, it’s as if
you’ve come from afar,
and
dropped

the love you feel in aspects hearted, they are dreams
displayed with love, and a misty-eyed cavalcade
imparted

ribbons
held together,
just right,
the fit
tight,
with
much light,
swirling in a vacuum
of delight…and

a tender-loving kindness, with a whole lot of rich-textured
sentimental(ness)
bestowed
before
we
go, and
take flight

leaving behind our hearts packaged in love, bright, on this
most glorious
night…

     During the time that we stayed in that place of respite, we always took our meals up in our room.  It had a small window very high up, and thus seemed safe enough from curious glances.  Though I gained steadily in strength each day, all the household, it seemed, hung on tender-hooks for my recovery.  We ate simple fare, whether due to my delicate condition, or to Mrs. H.’s lack of kitchen help, I did not know.  But we ate often, and the food was filling.  We knew we would need it for the journey ahead.

Christ Mass

Today we celebrate Mass for the Christ who came to pave the way for our redemption, that is assuming we are Christians. It’s a time for prayerful reflection on whether we are practicing what we preach. If Christianity is lived the way it is preached this world would become a haven of peace instead of war and devastation. Merry Christmas to all.
